Oh what a crock of ignorant bull shit. The greatest episode of genocide in human history was committed by the Spanish with the complete and full sanction of the Catholic Church in which between 20 and 50 million Mexican Indians were murdered. That's more people by orders of magnitude then have died in all Islam Jihads in the ENTIRE history of Islam.

In many verses, the importance, and the promised benefits of Jihad (in both this life and the next) appear much larger than the more spiritual benefits associated with the other 5 pillars mentioned.
