Pelosi responds to Trump, says she won’t allow State of the Union during shutdown

Are you suggesting that I haven't asked you questions, regarding proof, in other threads and you never supplied it??

"Lie all you want, I couldn't care less. You are free to post all the bull shit and lies that you want." :D

Even Warren Buffet agrees with Pascal. He wrote the Preface to the book "The Intelligent Investor" which he called "the best book about investing ever written." The author, Benjamin Graham, gives the same argument

Pascal also said "either God exists or he does not-and only faith, not reason, can answer that question."

Pascal's Wager...along with Occum's Razor...

...are two of the most worthless things any philosophers have ever devised or proposed.

They both are demonstrably illogical.

And for the most part, in Internet discussions, they are almost always used and applied incorrectly.

Well, Frank, a jolly good morning to you.

The investment philosopher, Peter Bernstein said "in making decisions under conditions of uncertainty, the consequences must dominate the probabilities. We never know the future."

A little insurance at your age is to be considered.

Warren Buffet is about your age.

Hey, Earl.

Okay to all that...but it really does not address what I mentioned.

Pascal's Wager and Occum's Razor have bugged me for decades. But...they do come up often.

If you are suggesting that Pascal's Wager is an insurance policy of some kind...that we can discuss. I say it is an absurdity to consider it such.

Believers think He does, atheists believe that He doesn't and agnostics tell the truth, they don't know.

Insurance is a bet that something great or not so great will happen. The insurer wins most of the time but the insured wins some of the time. I nor anyone else have a clue as to whether it's a winning policy. It's each person's decision to make.

Now, important stuff. How did you you manage to age so well?

In the meantime Pelosi put the House in recess.
These idiots should stay in Washington until this problem is resolved.

K.

First of all...thanks for thinking I have aged well.

Anyway, it's probably because I smoked lots of dope; drank more than my fair share of booze; chased (and caught) many wild young nyphomaniacs...and otherwise lead as dissolute a life as possible during my younger years.

I also was smart enough to choose decent genes to inherit...which may have played some small part.

Well said, Frank, well said.

The genes are important...very important.

As to aging well, I have rarely seen examples of aging well. My son-in-law's grandfather lived to be almost 101 years of age and he was sharp as a tack and looked to be in his 60's when he passed. There was some dissolution in his life but the genes were there. Pioneer stock.

I believe you mentioned something about "limpness" so I expect that you have slowed down a bit with the dissolution.
