not a part of my history.......I wasn't a slave owner before the Civil War......
You keep forgetting to Post your Link ... is that a mistake?![]()
Those children were teens... UNACCOMPANIED MINORS.
"Above all else, cadets are men and women of honor and integrity who can always be trusted. They live by a simple code, The VMI Honor Code, which states: “A Cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, nor tolerate those who do.” The Code pervades all aspects of a cadet’s life. A cadet’s honor is his/her most guarded possession.

Being a refugee isn’t a crime. While I'm revisiting this moronic thread, I might as well point out a couple of obvious differences between slavery and migrant family separation for you simple minded leftys.
1)The slave owners who perpetuated these barbaric acts of inhumanity were private citizens, not government agents. (They were also DEMOCRATS)
2)The slaves were taken by force or forcibly kept in bondage. The illegal immigrants came here by choice and in knowing violation of our laws.
Thanks for playing Bourbon, we have some lovely parting gifts for you.

Being a refugee isn’t a crime.
Refugees are not in violation of our laws, either.Very basic legal question for you Phanny. Does something need to be a crime to be a violation of our laws?
Refugees are not in violation of our laws, either.
One can’t argue with your misguided stupidity, so you can talk to yourself. Bye byePeople entering our country illegally are acting in violation of our laws, regardless of what you call them. Additionally,
just because someone says they are a refugee doesn't mean they are. Similarly, just because a man says he's a woman doesn't mean he is a woman.![]()
I apologize. I thought you had enough intelligence to figure out on your own that family separation happened during the Obama administration, and even the Bush administration. Clearly, I overestimated you. My mistake.

I noticed that you didn't post a link in your OP, showing that slavery was indeed a thing. Presumably because everyone knows that?
^^This is for you as well kudzu.
The teens were NOT separated from their parents.. They came into the US UNACCOMPANIED.. Watch out for the liars.
One can’t argue with your misguided stupidity, so you can talk to yourself. Bye bye
It’s only a concession to your being too stupid to understand refugees and our laws. It’s fruitless to debate someone who has no idea what they are talking about.I accept your concession.

The ones currently at our border that everyone is freaking out about are seeking asylum. They are refugees, their status or legitimacy is determined in a hearing. Trump’s policies have created a bottleneck in the process, so desperate people are trying to sneak in illegally, but they aren’t the majority. People who overstay their VISAs are a big problem, but the visuals aren’t as dramatic for Trump to exploit. And yet I'm still willing to debate you. It is clearly against our laws to just sneak into this country. It doesn't matter if you're claiming to be a refugee. There are legal ways to seek refugee status. That doesn't mean everyone who seeks refugee status is in compliance with the law. You either don't know what you're talking about or you're being willfully ignorant. Don't try to put that on me. My words were clear. You tried to rebut something I didn't say, and I called you on it.
Regardless of the "teens" you refer to, family separation did indeed happen under Obama.
They claim to be refugees. Most of them are economic migrants, which is not the same as refugees. The ones currently at our border that everyone is freaking out about are seeking asylum. They are refugees, their status or legitimacy is determined in a hearing.
So what? Those people have no right to force the US to use more resources to speed up the process for vetting their claims and we are under no obligation to do so. Some of us don't think we should be letting a bunch of poor, uneducated people who will be a burden on the rest of us in. I see no problem in discouraging people we don't want here from coming.Trump’s policies have created a bottleneck in the process, so desperate people are trying to sneak in illegally, but they aren’t the majority.
I totally agree that people who overstay their visas are a big problem. They need to be rounded up and kicked the fuck out. Do you agree? If not, why?People who overstay their VISAs are a big problem, but the visuals aren’t as dramatic for Trump to exploit.
The were UNACCOMPANIED minors.. They were NOT separated from their parents.. Are you stupid or just a committed liar?
