Have Women Gone Too Far?

How high in your education pursuits did you have to climb to come up with that zinger?

I'm thinking you never made it past the first rung. :awesome:

In my family degree level chemistry means a masters in chemical engineering from MIT or Georgia Tech.. That's my father, both his brothers and two of my brothers. Wonder what HM meant?

When Kavanaugh was nominated it was a wake up call for men in America. We became keenly aware of how women will lie.

Two weeks ago, the Judicial Council of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit dismissed 83 judicial misconduct complaints filed against Brett M. Kavanaugh in connection with his nomination ...

excerpt:

The 10th Circuit Judicial Council finally announced its dismissal of the 83 complaints on Dec. 18, explaining its decision roughly as follows: (1) The 1980 act applies to circuit judges but not Supreme Court justices, (2) Kavanaugh was a D.C. Circuit Court judge during his confirmation hearings and when I filed my complaint, but (3) he’s a Supreme Court justice now. Evidently a circuit judge nominated to the Supreme Court can be held responsible for his partisan misconduct before the Senate, so long as the Senate fails to confirm the nominee.

But if the nominee wins the approval of a partisan Senate, then his inappropriate partisanship is excused. This reasoning doesn’t make sense to me. It’s like saying we can prosecute a safecracker only if the safe proved to be empty.

We have seen in the past decade, even longer if one really wants to look at the issue, where women are hell bent on acquiring more power as if they has none before. And, unfortunately, men are more then willing to give up what little power they have left. We see this in politics, in marriage/divorce, in entertainment (TV shows, movies, etc.), and in the world of sex. Question now is as they strive for a Matriarch society, have they gone too far?

The last paragraph in this article is quite telling:

I thought it would take a little longer for the hit squad of privileged young white women to open fire on brown-skinned men. I had assumed that on the basis of intersectionality and all that, they’d stay laser focused on college-educated white men for another few months. But we’re at warp speed now, and the revolution—in many ways so good and so important—is starting to sweep up all sorts of people into its conflagration: the monstrous, the cruel, and the simply unlucky. Apparently there is a whole country full of young women who don’t know how to call a cab, and who have spent a lot of time picking out pretty outfits for dates they hoped would be nights to remember. They’re angry and temporarily powerful, and last night they destroyed a man who didn’t deserve it.

The dirty little secret is the patriarchy would be more than happy to hand over the reigns of power to the matriarchs lol.

Because it’s not what it’s cracked up to be. The same with the phantom of ‘white privilege’.

Are you threatened by accomplished women? Why wouldn't you want anyone you cared about .. male or female .. to do well and have a fulfilled life?

It's the ones who must lie, and do so regularly and without guilt or remorse, it seems, to "do well and have a fulfilled life" who are concerning...to everyone...
Don't you agree?

In as decent world, men would fight for the rights of women, women for the rights of men, and we'd all be okay. Unfortunately we live under an insane system in which everything is to be competitive, and everyone unhappy.

What's wrong with wanting love/romance? Men desire that as well.

I think though that what you are saying is that some women set aside their own ambitions and goals in favor of finding a man. Is that correct?

You don't get to redefine what I said.

When women put aside Romance as the #1 thing in their lives, they will achieve equality.

Guys are fine as long as they don't treat women like pieces of meat.

Also, by staying somewhat aloof to feminine allure. guys have a much better control over the intricacies of their own lives.

I think couples should help each other, not compete.. and power struggles about who is dominant and who is submissive are a sign of weakness and insecurity.. But, of course you can have any sort of relationship you want.

I'm talking about women with stories for every occasion who lie "to do well and have a fulfilled life"-in general, not necessarily couples...*isn't that a concern?

I see.. My life is not unusual at all for an expat oil brat.. You just haven't had that sort of life experience.

You're just another loser who turns every thread into a personal attack..

I work with more than several women who are ‘more accomplished’ [if you equate accomplished with salary] and they don’t threaten me in the slightest.

Not even a little bit.

Who mentioned "you"? (Looks like you're the one who turned it into a "personal ex pat oil brat attack"...;)
