Stocks dropped sharply Thursday morning as the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 500 points one day after a historic rally

The Dow, Nasdaq composite and S&P 500 were down roughly 2 percent by 10:25 a.m. Thursday, a day after stocks surged to erase record losses.

The Dow gained a record-high 1,086 points Wednesday and the S&P rose 5 percent to escape from a bear market.

President Trump's spiraling anger with the Federal Reserve and a government shutdown with no end in sight have set the stock market on track for its worst December since 1931. Stocks have slipped into the red for 2018 after soaring from Trump's election through the second half of this year.

There is no exit strategy because to the interventionists there is only a continual "presence" that works. they don't want an exit strategy

Supposedly a "presence" is a check on Iran / a check on Russia -and I suppose \ some check on Assad's barbarism

Or it's the Kurds -did we promise them a state? Did we promise to protect them from Turkey pushing them back from the border? of course not we had a transactional relationship and it's over.

The Perpetual War crowd though wants us to stay there as a presence.

It's ridiculous. we were there to kill ISIS - WTF happens in Syria otherwise isn't even our concern

No, you just haven't thought through the consequences of this because you needed a distraction from the horrific economy, market collapse, exploding deficits, and shellacking Conservatives took at the polls last month.

I'm all for withdrawal, so long as there's a plan in place and an exit strategy that doesn't involve just quitting.

Conservatives simply lack the ability to come up with a plan because Conservatives are inherently stupid people.
