No, people like you, who are easy marks for conmen, are the reason why a conman won.

Hillary ran a great campaign...she got 3M more votes than Trump.

She got virtually the same # of votes Obama got in 2012.

Trump only won because of Russian support, conning people like you into voting and supporting Trump. Now, we are seeing the excuse parade from people clearly looking for lifeboats; yours has already been burned.

Yes. Very much so.

Seems to me that you created this ID last January to re-position yourself after a year of defending Trump and the GOP.

You started off with posts that had the facade of thoughtfulness, positioning yourself as some "above it all both-siderist who favors moderation".

As that facade was worn down, you just fell right back into the same bad habits that caused you to switch IDs from before.

That's why this one will probably bite the dust soon and be replaced by another one so you can lend yourself credibility that doesn't exist.

I rather think that as a society we've all taken care of that at the macro level via our denial of the deterioration of the planet's life systems. Patience, allow it to play out.

Pretty crude title for the thread but it does make the point! It's starting to happen and it's what must happen. It has to be the Republican party that heads for the lifeboats and it has to be soon.

Sadly for the Dems and the liberals, the taking down of Trump will be anti-climatic. He won't go out with a bang, he'll go out with a whimper. That's always been the FBI/Mueller's objective. It's not the FBI working to destroy the Republican party, it's to save your country.

The big question is, how long will they allow Trump to continue as pres? Likely to the end of his term on conditions imposed on him and his behaviour. The fun part for the Dems will be in analyzing just what restrictions have been placed on Trump's behaviour, and it will be quite obvious when it happens.

Otherwise, Trump will resign early on some face-saving excuse of his own.

And lastly, the most unlikely but definitely on the table for the FBI/Mueller is the Kennedy solution.

The Trump situation in the US must end because it's become intolerable.

The Democrats aren't going to impeach Trump; there's not enough time and they don't need to. They can simply take down every person around him, leaving him vulnerable and isolated.

I don't think Trump should go to prison, and I don't think he should be executed. Instead, I think he should be committed to an asylum because it is more important to discredit him and the ideology that found itself attached to him, than it is to punish Trump. He's a narcissist who will consider himself a political prisoner if he's locked in a cell. But if he's committed, then he's sedated and medicated, and then the man carrying the Conservative banner can be diminished but more importantly, so will the ideology that fixed itself to him.

That's what is most important; you can't shame the shameless, but you can fucking discredit them.

Most of his supporters are mentally disturbed anyway...committing Trump to an asylum would be a fitting end.

I don't think Trump will last to 2020, Pence either.

I think Pence will resign first, and Pelosi will never allow a vote on a Trump replacement VP.
