Schumer is still against illegal immigration.

Refusing to fund the wall Trump promised would be built with Mexican money...is not back tracking.

No ice up here. I am hoping we can get through the next week or so without any snow. I'd rather it be rain. Much easier to shovel!

Myself, I never expected Mexico pay for the wall, to be honest. But I was and still am for securing our borders, whether it be by a wall or an M-16.

I didn't realize a wall that Mexico was going to pay for (from which he backtracked) was even on the agenda back then.

Myself, I never expected Mexico pay for the wall, to be honest. But I was and still am for securing our borders, whether it be by a wall or an M-16.

I cannot imagine most thinking people thought Mexico was going to pay for the wall. But it did get lots of applause...and I suspect that was the reason for the line, not honesty nor intention.

I also am interested in securing our borders. I just don't think a wall is a significant part of that. And I am totally convinced that the war over the wall going on right now...has MUCH less to do with border security than with a perception that a campaign promise was (somehow) kept.

I would love to see the Democrats hold out until January...and then pass a bill in the House identical to the one Trump agreed to before Limbaugh and Ingrham got involved and see what happens in a Senate vote and possible veto if it passes.

None of this right now if about border security on either side of the aisle. It is all about politics...and I think Trump has helped make it a win for the Democrats.
