Domestic oil prices are down .. $45 headed for $40.. May be a serious problem for domestic producers.

The pump prices have stabilized in my area at 1.90 give or take a dime depending on where you are in the city. For reasons known but to God, gas is actually cheapest near the airport consistently but to far for me to drive to fill up just to save a dime.

They did with Bush.

Gas prices up under Bush, he was blamed by the left. Gas prices down under Bush, the claim was Presidents can't affect prices.

Gas prices down under Obama, they hailed him as a genius. Gas prices up under Obama, the claim was Presidents can't affect prices.

Hahaha.. and you listen to nincompoops who say the president controls oil prices... including Trump.

You're stupid.

In the year 1960, the average retail price of gas in the U.S. was $0.31. This is equivalent to $2.60 in 2018 dollars.

Is the gas being sold today exactly like the gas produced in 1960? Is it made using the same technology as 1960? Do we still have leaded gas?

Gasoline is still a bargain compared to the price of healthcare, education, housing, automobiles etc.

No.. It means I don't want to see domestic production go bust, but they are still adding rig count. The ppb needs to be around $60-$65..

Are you an expert in oil markets now too?

So now you want domestic oil production? Are you a Sarah Palin DRILL BABY DRILL aficionado now?

So are you saying that 1960 prices are the benchmark which we should strive to replicate?

Why is 1960 the magical number? What is so important about 1960 and gasoline prices?

I noticed you edited your post. Did you realize that the chart, while interesting, didn't answer a single question I asked?

Do you realize that your edited response doesn't answer any of them?

No.. I'm saying gasoline is still a bargain and you don't seem to understand time value of money.
