Republican senators in disbelief over Trump shutdown threat

Several GOP senators said that even if the House passed additional funding for border security, it could not pass the Senate, where votes are needed from Democrats to advance it.
"No, he won't have 60 votes over here," said Sen. Mike Enzi, a Wyoming Republican who's the chairman of the Budget Committee.
Even though it won't pass the Senate, House GOP members have calculated that they'd rather attempt to pass a short-term spending bill with $5 billion for a wall to be on the right side of the President.

The Senate will need 60 votes to pass this pretend legislation. They do not have 60 votes...PERIOD.

The bill is doomed. It will be returned to the House with the $5 billion removed.

I am sure the senators are furious with the House members for passing this joke...knowing full well that it cannot pass the senior chamber.
 
A lot of these poor bastards had already left DC and had to come back today. Schatz from HI got all the way home yesterday, was on a red eye last night to go back to DC.

The American people, the majority of the American people according to our election process want the wall.
Democrats , actually 49 people want to override the will of millions, sounds like the Democrats have a problem.

If the Democrats want to shut the government down because 49 disgruntled malcontents cant have their way, then let them do that.

I think they might give Rump 2 Billion and get this done, but we will see. He aint gettin 5 billion.
