Is Special Counsel Mueller’s Office About to Have Its First Conviction Overturned?

It's called entrapment and will be reversed soon enough. Seems like you're more than happy for the FBI to act like gangsters.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/fbis-entrapment-of-general-flynn-was-despicable
gangsters indeed.
First they monitored and recorded a phone call between Kislyak and Flynn -why?

Flynn and Kislyak should be able to talk with each other given their official positions.
Instead the FBI ( or Yates or somebody) recorded it Then unmasked Flynn and the finally LEAKED it to the WAPO!

There is a couple of violations right there.

Then we get the monkey business with the 302. Then we get a "lying to the FBI charge" (process crime)
when Flynn might have simply wanted to deny sanctions because he knew the FBI leaks ( guessing )

anyway you slice it it was severe over-reach to record him, then change the 302, then leak it
and then charge flynn with lying! ( etc -not telling him he was being investigated and needed a lawyer)

Deep State shenanigans

In 12th January 2017 an article by David Ignatius based on information provided by a “senior US government official” appeared in the Washington Post which disclosed that Flynn had spoken on the telephone to Kislyak on 29th December 2016. This is what Ignatius’s article says about this call

According to a senior U.S. government official, Flynn phoned Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak several times on Dec. 29, the day the Obama administration announced the expulsion of 35 Russian officials as well as other measures in retaliation for the hacking. What did Flynn say, and did it undercut the U.S. sanctions? The Logan Act (though never enforced) bars U.S. citizens from correspondence intending to influence a foreign government about “disputes” with the United States. Was its spirit violated? The Trump campaign didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. If the Trump team’s contacts helped discourage the Russians from a counter-retaliation, maybe that’s a good thing. But we ought to know the facts.

These words show that the “senior US government official” who was David Ignatius’s source was fully informed of what Flynn had said to Kislyak on 29th December 2016.

It is universally acknowledged that the “senior government official” committed a criminal offence under the FISA Act by disclosing to David Ignatius information about Flynn which was obtained from classified intercepts.

That is the oldest trick in the books. You ask someone what appears to be a mundane question where they either believe it is of no importance or don't think it is anyone's business.

Example: FBI; Did you have any meetings with Russians prior to Trump's election? Person of interest; No. FBI; YOU LIE!!! OFF with his HEAD!!!

Oh, so I guess Flynn telling the FBI that he didn't discuss sanctions with the Russians was the answer to just some "mundane question." Or, that Flynn, knowing it wasn't the truth, and who also had a career at the top level of national security, thought it was alright to lie to the FBI. Now was it the same "mundane question" Pence asked him when he repeated the same lie to Pence?

Now how did you think that went down; "General Flynn, do you have any vacations planned before you assume your new duties? How are the kids doing? Did you happen to mention sanctions in your talks with Sergey Kislyak?" What do you think about the weather these days? How about that Inaugeration Day parade? Etc.

"Flynn was talking to the Russian ambassador, who is an agent of a foreign power. Agents of foreign powers are acceptable foreign intelligence targets and the government could have a warrant to surveil Kislyak under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) since 1978."

"Next, phone calls are wiretappable. Congress ensured that would be true with the Communications Assistance to Law Enforcement Act of 1994 (CALEA)."

"Further, while wiretapping in the criminal context involves only recording when the targets talk about illegal activity, foreign intelligence wiretapping is comprehensive. All conversations are collected and important bits mined out after the fact."

"So when Flynn talks on the telephone to Kislyak, it’s practically certain he’s going to get recorded since Kislyak is being recorded."

So is following the law is "deep state shenanghins?"

did you see the author? some goofball Spook who thinks Kysliak might have a FISA..Is there anyone who doesn't get a FISA?
Page was particularly revolting, given the fact he had JUST A YEAR EARLIER acted as an UC for the FBI!

But to this nonsense -why was he unmasked and then LEAKED to Ignasius.
Why the Logan Act references?
Why the changing of the 302?
why was he advised he did not need a lawyer when they were there to investigate Flynn -
not some "training exercise" that McCabe used as a cover story?

Something is seriously wrong when official government business ( transition teams have legal authority)
are routinely recorded and from the looks of it routinely unmasked because of the "need to know"
who was the US official. Why does the FBI/CIA need to know anything about normal phone calls?

My personal opinion is that the Usual Suspects dragged Flynn into this because they didn't like Flynn
just like the FISA bs was used to get into the Trump campaign - Comey and Brennan's expressed hostility to Trump

Why do you like corrupt bureaucrats acting like Fascists in a third world shit hole snowflake?

The point you are missing is that the Mueller team had evidence against Flynn on who knows how many other charges. Flynn then proceeded to spill his guts on everything he knew. His information was so valuable that the SC removed most of the charges and allowed Flynn to plead guilty to the minor crime of lying to the FBI. They also asked the judge for no prison time, due to his cooperation.

Last week, both special counsel Robert Mueller’s office and former national security adviser Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s defense team submitted dueling memorandums to U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan, who is preparing to sentence Flynn on Dec. 18.

Flynn’s filing brought up the subject of FD-302 forms, which are the official records that FBI agents file following interviews with subjects of interest. In its memo, the defense noted that a 302 form provided by Mueller’s office was dated Aug. 22, 2017, more than six months after the FBI’s interview with Flynn actually took place.

Since FBI rules and regulations state that 302s must be filled out within five days of the interview, the fact that the Flynn memorandum referenced a 302 form filled out and filed more than six months later garnered immediate attention in the news media.

A curious feature of this months-late 302 form was noted by my colleague, Jeff Carlson, in his recent column in The Epoch Times, titled “New FBI 302 Document Appears to Reveal Interview With Agents–Not Flynn.”

This particular 302 form, which is cited five times on Page 14 of the Flynn memorandum, is an interview with former FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok, who was subsequently fired from the agency after an extensive investigation by Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz.

Mueller is Heinrich Himmler meets “The Naked Gun.”

Mueller has nothing on anyone, of any consequence,
so now adding to that what little he did have was gathered under false pretense.

Mueller should cut his losses and a simple "nothing further to add" would be his only save face,
but undoubtedly he will continue, and leave his scraps behind for the incoming house to make fools of themselves with also.

America is not stupid by and large, and thank God

you came up with that all by yourself did you :rofl2: we can tell

Mueller has Flynn legally, morally, and ethically committed to his plea deal, conviction, and coming sentence.

Anyone who holds out hope for this case to be overturned is an . . . idiot, such as getin the ring and truth detector.

That is the only appropriate characterization.

You conspiracy righties need to start taking your meds.

just shut up while only a few are laughing at you, really dude, stupid is as stupid does

You fools have been down this road before, with the Flynn guilty plea. Stop embarrassing yourselves.

Flynn would have to move to withdraw the plea, something, despite months of you fools saying he should, he has refused to do.

It takes a LOT OF CHUTZPAH to talk about morals and ethics when it comes to Mueller!!

why did Mueller ask Flynn what he said when they already had the transcript?

To see if he would lie. If he would lie it was a big deal, because it meant that he was succeptable to blackmail. A matter of national security.

what "blackmail",, and no it doesn't.
Yates used the Logan act as a cover of "illegal activities" to bring in the FBI

https://thedeepstate.com/case-entrapment-deep-state-brought-michael-flynn/
It is now conclusively established that there was nothing unlawful about Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak (see below) whilst Yates’s claim that Flynn had exposed himself to blackmail by the Russians by lying to Pence and others about his conversations with Kislyak is too ridiculous to be taken seriously.

McGahn’s reported initial reaction to Yates’s complaint – “Why does it matter to the Department of Justice whether one White House official lies to another White House official?” – was the correct one.

everything Mueller is doing, is about to be thrown out, rendered partisan hack job
the FBI, and the entire Obama bag of nut-cases were all up to no good, and they are getting exposed, one rat at a time

It all comes out in the wash, as they say

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/mi...r-file-could-rile-judge-in-sentencing-hearing

Why do you think something happened to it? Did Mueller tell you he couldn't find anything or did he say to wait until he is good and ready?

what's he waiting for, Jan 2025 :rofl2:
