BAD news for Trumper cultists - GOP now in survival mode, to abandon the Don

DC Republicans cannot abandon Trump, since they never supported him in the first place. They screamed in agony as Trump wiped out all of their candidates and stole their platform. They have not forgotten, and they will gladly unite with Democrats to destroy Trump.

the ONLY reason any DC repub will turn on Trump is SURVIVAL, nothing to do with their kabuki dance platform

ultimately it's always their own paychecks they worry about, not Trump

DC repubs are just lefties, so they will turn to or from Trump for survival. They are swamp creatures, so they will always be on the lookout for an opportunity to take him down. When they need to, they will be with Trump, but they will kill him the moment they have a chance.

exactly, they're cowards til the very end

They have been "routinely" discussing impeachment for two years. A month ago the 25th Amendment was imminent. Then Kavanaugh was added to the impeachment talk. Since a conviction would require a 2/3 Senate majority any talk of impeachment and conviction is a waste of time.

Both sides are overly optimistic something wonderful will occur to help their side.

Does anybody watch "House of Cards?" The cabinet tried to use the 25th Amendment on Claire.

I watched the first three or four seasons then lost interest. Interesting they did that

No forgiveness to anyone who abandons the Potus now.

It was all plain to see. They are traitors and friends of convenience. Fuck them all.

I have not watched Fox today, but until Fox turns on him, he is the Don, er the POTUS. If and when Fox turns on him, he is done.

During the campaign season, FOX had a whole lot of never Trumpers. Brett Bair, Chris Wallace, Megyn Kelly, Britt Hume, Howie Kurtz, and more. Megyn ruined her career with her never Trump crap, but the rest of them are still there. Trump did not just overpower the lefty media, he also overpowered FOX News. All those never Trumpers at Fox would still gladly take down Trump if they could.

incorrect, sounding a little desperate there

Desperate about what? You have to be blind not to have seen all the claims that Trump would not make it through the first year or other talk about impeachment, 25th amendment, resignations, or other speculation.

“Republican lawmakers who are — have a huge role to play in this if it goes forward — are starting to tell me privately, some of them, that, you know, if there’s obvious evidence, the bottom is going to fall out,” he explained.

“They’re not going to be able to stand by this White House and that’s a looming problem for the president,” he concluded.

Trump may even face a greater threat from the Southern District of New York investigations.

“It’s much harder to stop what’s happening in that office as opposed to with the special counsel’s investigation,” Stokols noted. “This train has left the station, there’s really nothing that this White House can do about it.”

OP

Exactly. I'm not wasting my time with his ignorance. But glad to see you fighting so hard for rawstory.

nice reading comprehension there stupid

Donald Trump is facing “looming problem” as Republicans contemplate abandoning the president as more evidence of wrongdoing comes to light, Los Angeles Times White House reporter Eli Stokols explained on MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House” on Monday.

Chris Christie is even starting to plant seeds of doubt. This is not good for Trump.
