Comey kept copious notes of his meetings and conversations with Trump.. MOST executives do that .. and in Trump's case you would have to be a damned fool not to have a witness or recordings of your conversations with such a lying scumbag.
Comey wasn't "most executives." He was fired from his position on the recommendation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Writing a self-exculpatory book, leaking information on ongoing investigations to the press, and facilitating the improper release of federal documents are not ethical actions, nor are they permissible for a man in Comey's position of public trust.
