Mueller and his band of nut-bags and their ruse to find justice is coming apart at he seams,
Comey was in charge of the FBI, involved at the highest level in the justice Dept when the whole FISA spying on US citizens
fake warrant started the whole Mueller witch hunt. Comey and his lawyers know exactly where the round of questions was headed, and they're bailing.

:rolleyes: Mike Flynn took the Fifth. As did Roger Stone, Carter Page and Michael Cohen. Were you outraged?

That's exactly what I heard on NPR.

I still want to know why they wouldn't let him testify in an open hearing.
 
I could not find anything about Comey pleading the 5th, even on Fox News. Is there any truth to this?

What would you expect a DEMOCRAT to say? Particularly since Comey didn't answer all the questions he was asked.

No. He didn't "plead the Fifth", because he wasn't under oath in a court of law. He did refuse to answer questions. Not the same thing.

It seems very unlikely he would need to for any reason.

Comey is going to be able to stand as 'the good cop', no matter what happens with the Mueller investigation. And in fact it would be more correct to start calling it the FBI's investigation because that's what it really is. The FBI knows that Trump must be stopped and when they intend to stop somebody, nothingis off the table. That would surely include Trump secret service body guards being in collusion with the FBI, for the good of the country.

You do realize that what you just described is completely illegal, right?

I'm not saying you're wrong. You just described the "deep state" that takes extra-legal action and justifies it by pretending that suborning the law is "for the good of the country."

I think OP doesn't understand the difference between declining to answer a question in a Congressional hearing and invoking a Constitutional right in a court of law while under oath.

I doubt that many people do, yourself included.
 
The committee members get to give an hour uninterrupted blah blah. They won't use that much time because they all want some vid time for their districts.

Also the GOP members do not like being made fools of, which Comey has done every time they mess with him.

IT appears as though there is no truth to that at all.

Apparently Comey was advised (instructed) by his DOJ lawyer...NOT to answer some questions...because of ongoing investigations.
