Ken Ham Can’t Find Enough Creationist Employees, So He’s Loosening Restrictions :laugh:

Last week, we pointed out that Ken Ham was having troubling finding employees for the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. He had full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions available, but not many takers.

That may be because the application requires everyone — from tour guide to plumber — to include their “salvation testimony” (that they’ve been saved by Jesus), their “Creation belief statement” (that evolution as we know it is a lie and the Earth is only a few thousand years old), and “Confirmation of your agreement with the AiG Statement of Faith” (which, among other things, says the “only legitimate marriage” is between opposite sex couples and implies that transgender people don’t really exist).

In short, not only was Answers in Genesis not going to hire Jews, they weren’t even going to hire Christians who strayed from the party line.

It looks like he’s changed his mind about that.

In a Facebook Live video posted this morning, Ham revealed that the rules were no longer as stringent for seasonal employees, often younger people home from school for the summer or winter.

My faith has made me strong, you say you don't know, I have seen him work. I am not asking you to believe, although I wish you did. I only know what the word of God says offends God.

For the record, Wolverine...I once was a fairly "religious" guy. There was a time I wanted to become a priest. And one of the proud moments of my life, even now as an agnostic person, is the day I served Mass in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.

I had regular conversations with the god...and with Jesus in those days.

At some point, I discovered I was just talking to myself...kidding myself.

Fact is...I grew up.

Now...I acknowledge that I do not know if any gods exist.

They may. It certainly is possible.

It also is possible there are no gods...or that even if there are gods...the gods are something a lot bigger than that god of the Bible.

Just wanted to mention that.

I wasn't anything until I was saved at 29, went to church with friends occasionally, Mom took us as kids but it was Episcopalian, don't remember much. I understood that God loved me, but wasn't ready to let go of the world. Thankful that at 29 while falling deeper into alcoholism, my wife was going to leave me, with my son with her. Morning after my first black out at the wheel, she said she was going to Church and I was welcome to go with her, long story short after much conviction from the Holy Spirit I surrendered my life to Christ, not a day that goes by that I am not thankful. In my opinion Catholicism is a cult, so I am not surprised a bright guy like yourself found the contradictions with what you read, and what they say.

Yeah...I understand that there are so-called Christians who consider Catholicism to be a cult...and that THEY (Catholics) should reject the "contradictions" that amass.

You guys should all take a long, hard look at whatever else you think to be an improvement over Catholicism or Episcopalianism. They are not...not by a very long shot. They are as far from logical or Christ-like as either of those other two.

Fact is, though, a vast majority of both agnosticism and atheism...is more Christ-like than the "Christians" of the Christian churches as a whole.

Many of us outside Christianity (I do not presume to speak for all) consider many of the teachings of Jesus to be worthwhile, commendable, and recommendable.

I personally despise what Christianity does to the teachings of Jesus...much more than I despise any particular teaching.

He did worship the god of the Bible...and I think that to be a mistake on his part, but it is understandable considering the time and place of his enlightenment.

Your "being saved" is interesting...and I'm glad whatever happened happened. You needed to pull yourself up from whatever hole you had gotten into. But my guess is that no god was involved in that move...YOU did it.

You ought to take credit for it, but if you want to assign the credit to this god of yours...that is your choice to make.
