BECAUSE of its DIVERSITY, The Democratic electorate is now a more powerful force

The Force is With Me
Electoral College aside, nearly 3 million more Americans voted for Clinton than Trump.

Two years later, nearly 9 million more Americans voted for for democrats than republicans. Why? Because the future of American political power lies in the hands of those who embrace DIVERSITY. You can't fake it, you either have it or you don't.

White power does not interest an ever-evolving and more diverse American people. The only interest they have in white power is getting rid of it.

Republicans have tied themselves to Trump and only exacerbated their own political decline. They've identified themselves as the party of a racist buffoonish woman-hater.

The midterms were easy to predict, and most polls were right on the money.

2018 was a very good year for polls

Guess what else will be easy to predict? 2020.

The Democrats’ blue wave keeps growing

California, already a blue state, has grown even bluer. With Democrat Katie Porter having defeated incumbent Republican Rep. Mimi Walters in the 45th congressional district, Democrats have now flipped five GOP-held House seats in the Golden State. One of the biggest shockers in the western state occurred when Democrat Harley Rouda defeated long-time Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher in the 48th congressional district.

Another Democratic congressional flip occurred this week in Maine, where Democrat Jared Golden has defeated incumbent Rep. Bruce Poliquin. With that flip in Maine’s 2nd congressional district, Poliquin is the first incumbent to lose that seat in over 100 years.

Even Orange County is now entirely in the hands of democrats.

Did I mention that the republican plight is only going to get worse? The Republican Party has locked itself in as a party of racism, corruption, and ignorance with the election of Donald Trump, the turkey that keeps on giving.

In the Year of the Woman .. Republicans have only a smattering of women.

Don't like non-white people, don't like women .. and this was your grand plan for the future. :0)

They are locked in, there is no way back.

Now that you guys actually got skin in the game, we'll see if the voters want a Party without any desire to govern
- 'just investigate'.

2020 is going to be delicious - Kamala Harris is already an extreme ICE hating leftist.
wait till the progressives get thru with her, make her even more crazed left!

Florida and Georgia were your wake up call that Trump is still the most powerful draw in US politics.
You better hope demographics do it for you - you got nothing else

Two years later, nearly 9 million more Americans voted for for democrats than republicans.

And the only reason the popular vote-losing Orange Pig was able to pull off an electoral college fluke, was by posturing himself on traditionally liberal, democratic-socialist principles - pro-labor, pro-union, anti-corporate trade deals, anti-Iraq War, nominally pro-gay, and he was supposedly going to use the government to replace Obamacare with something "even better".

None of which he really had any intention of doing.

There is actually no doubt at this point why the Republican party has stopped pretending to be committed to the tenets of the western tradition, to western representative democracy, and they are instead doing everything in the power to maintain a stranglehold on power even as most voters routinely vote against them.

Actor Jim Carrey doubled down on his criticism of President Donald Trump on a panel at Vulture Fest Sunday, describing Trump as a “melanoma” and accusing Republicans of “raping” America’s system of government.

“These are not people you can deal with. You cannot be bipartisan with a criminal. A rapist needs to be removed, not negotiated with. These people are raping our system, they’re destroying it right in front of us,” Jim Carrey said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“These people have to be removed from our system because they’re bad for us,” Carrey continued. “Trump is a melanoma, and anybody that covers for him, including Sarah Sanders, is putting makeup on it. It shows that there’s a deeper problem in this country, and that problem is greed.”

Among other things, the Ace Ventura star also commented on racial issues in the United States,
saying that he couldn’t understand how blacks “haven’t burned this country down” yet.

“The African-American community has incredible grace in the face of this cancerous hate. They’re unbelievable. I don’t know how they haven’t burned this country down,” he said.

The 56-year-old also showed some of his infamous political artwork on stage.

Over the last year, Carrey has become known more for his anti-Trump paintings than for his acting. He has notably attacked Brett Kavanaugh and Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Recently, the Bruce Almighty star attacked President Trump, accusing him of “manslaughter” because of his response to the California wildfires.

Being a racist in Mississippi is not going to hurt your election chances. Perhaps being too blatant may. The people do not want to admit to the country who they are.

People have been predicting the death of the Republican Party for years. Who knows, maybe it will die at some point but doubtful. The Obama Coalition was supposed to prevent Republicans from ever winning again. We see how that turned out. As 2016 showed you still have to have an acceptable candidate that voters will turn out for.

Are you one of the delusional Dems who thinks Mike Espy could win the Senate runoff?

:0) Are you delusional enough to believe what I'm saying isn't true whether Mike Espy wins or not ... AND, what you're missing is that Mike Espy .. a black man .. is running for Senate in THE most racist state in the country and he has a chance to win.

Whether Espy wins or not isn't the entire story .. and it doesn't change the circumstances for the party of racists.

Florida and Georgia were YOUR WAKE-UP CALL. :0) Deep south .. red states .. Trump MAGA .. good economy .. and you barely win all 3 races .. two against black people.

That plus almost 9 million more people voted for democrats .. that plus democrats have the diversity to face the future. Republicans don't.

That browning of America everyone has been talking about ... it's here.

Anyone who thought Obama would doom the Republican Party was delusional.

But what Obama did was magnify the racism of the Republican Party and expose just how out of touch they are with the American people.

2016 was an anomaly .. a perfect storm of events that allowed a buffoon to be president. But as I said at the time, Trump would be the best thing to happen for democrats and the progressive agenda. Trump has quantified the right wing. We know just about how many of them there are voting in this country. Between 30 - 35%. It's why the midterms were easy to call.

Want to be an all-white party with just a smattering of women? Cool.

How long do you think that's going to work in an increasingly diverse America?

Do you think that can't be predicted?

:hand::hand::hand:

No surprise why republicans have nothing much to say.

People also did not realize at the time that the Republican Party was going to cling to power by continuously losing the popular vote, maintaining a stranglehold on power against the will of the people, and that the GOP would relentlessly gerrymander and suppress votes to keep their status as government-by-the-minority.

If the will of the people were actually being expressed, the GOP would not have a stranglehold on power.

Mississippi may be one of the last to fall, but fall they will.

There are growing and active African-American and Hispanic alliances in Mississippi. African-Americans are already 38% of the population .. and growing .. and Hispanics continue to increase their population in the state.

... and then there is this ..

Deaths outnumber births for white people in Mississippi

Diversity. Either you have it or you don't.

A Republican intellectual explains why the Republican Party is going to die

Avik Roy is a Republican’s Republican. A health care wonk and editor at Forbes, he has worked for three Republican presidential hopefuls — Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Marco Rubio. Much of his adult life has been dedicated to advancing the Republican Party and conservative ideals.

But when I caught up with Roy at a bar just outside the Republican convention, he said something I’ve never heard from an establishment conservative before: The Grand Old Party is going to die.

“I don’t think the Republican Party and the conservative movement are capable of reforming themselves in an incremental and gradual way,” he said. “There’s going to be a disruption.”

Roy isn’t happy about this: He believes it means the Democrats will dominate national American politics for some time. But he also believes the Republican Party has lost its right to govern, because it is driven by white nationalism rather than a true commitment to equality for all Americans.

“Until the conservative movement can stand up and live by that principle, it will not have the moral authority to lead the country,” he told me.

This is a standard assessment among liberals, but it is frankly shocking to hear from a prominent conservative thinker. Our conversation had the air of a confessional: of Roy admitting that he and his intellectual comrades had gone wrong, had failed, had sinned.

His history of conservatism was a Greek tragedy. It begins with a fatal error in 1964, survived on the willful self-delusion of people like Roy himself, and ended with Donald Trump.

“I think the conservative movement is fundamentally broken,” Roy tells me. “Trump is not a random act. This election is not a random act.”
