US Senate moves to punish Saudi primitives.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ......

SEE! This is why I always LOVE watching you work. :)

My father was sent to London in 1967 to work with BP and others oil companies on how to "dock" the supertankers that wouldn't fit thru the Suez Canal.

What resources do the US control in the middle east?

If you don't know I really don't see how your opinion can be taken as informed. Due diligence is your enemy on this topic love. You clearly need an out here.

We've covered this, you and I, you wish to shift into mindless minutia over individual actions and decisions.

America is a militarist economically colonial empire, a blight on humanity and it's very existence.

Maybe what you say is true about the US , but what resources do they control in the Middle East?

Exactly, western "capitalists" have been trying to control the region and it's resources for quite same time, including picking their leadership, for "the people". Like they do here.

The Saudis don't control Hormuz or Bab al Mandab.. nor does Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan etc. What are you trying to say here?

Oh, we both know.

How do you get to the Canal or to the SUMED Pipeline Terminal?
Answer: Through the Bab al Mandab Strait.

The Strait is a 'choke-point' and that is what is being fought over. We and everyone else know that, so why are you contesting this?

Not all traffic in the Red Sea is headed NORTH... KSA also has the East West pipeline that goes from Ghawar to Yanbu and then to the SUMED.

Cool.
Is that why KSA is saturation bombing Yemen? Or is it for control of the Bab al Mandab?
We both know the answer ... but it's always great watching you spin and twirl, pointing in different directions, and telling stories about your father.

ARAMCO and now Saudi ARAMCO is the largest most successful oil company in the world and America sure didn't choose their leadership.

Iran has been at odds with the US for 50 years so I don't think we have picked their leadership. Who are you speaking of specifically?

She's just an idiot, pay her no mind.

You nincompoop.. The Bab al Mandab has been open to all ports on the Red Sea and all traffic forever.

The US love, your military adventurism, and the empire which is in decline and following the same trajectory empires in decline always do.

None of the oil tankers built since 1967 will fit thru the canal.. They all go south thru Bab al Mandab.

The bab al Mandab and Straits of Hormuz are international waters open to sea traffic and NOT the property of Iran or anyone else..

This is SUMED:

That's no longer true, Suezmax tankers are comparable to Panamax ones.

A SuezMax is the largest tanker with a full cargo that can pass through the Suez Canal. The maximum DWT of a SuezMax changes with the development of the Canal and is dictated by the Suez Canal Authority. There are maximum conditions for DWT, depth, beam but all are interchangeable and the Suez Canal Authority produces tables regarding the conditions for tankers which have specific dimensions. Currently, the maximum DWT is about 240,000 tonnes, maximum draft of the tanker is around 20.1 metres, the maximum height is 68 metres and the maximum beam is around 77 metres.

No.. its not whataboutism.. KSA doesn't control international water ways .. and they built the East West pipeline to Yanub a couple of decades ago. I think it was in the early 1980s.
