The only circumstance in which the jurisdiction clause is relevant is diplomats. "Illegal immigration" did not exist when the 14th amendment was written, so they was no way they could have taken it into account.

Scotus doesn't enter into this. The text of the 14th amendment is not susceptible to a construction that would support Trump's
dumbass base frothing publicity stunt. What he proposes is in direct contradiction to the plain language of the 14th amendment.
He may as well write an order that says "I hereby revoke the Constitution and suspend all democratically enacted laws"

They are not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. They are subject to the jurisdiction of Mexico. They are foreign nationals. Their children are foreign nationals as well. They are subject to our laws, but not our jurisdiction.
