Will Trumplicans defend the MAGA Bomber or distance themselves?

Should Trump devote more attention to Fake Bomb Gate than he did the softball shooter, or less?

What do you think Steve Scalise thinks about this?

Steve Scalise said Thursday that The (failing) New York Times should take down and apologize for a short fictional story about assassinating President Donald Trump published Tuesday.

No one is convinced of this.

I don't even believe you're convinced of this.

You're probably more heavily influenced than anyone else here...you're defending your dissemination of propaganda and rhetoric that spurs your fellow deplorables to act violently. You don't think you should have to bear any consequences or repercussions for doing what you knowingly do. Instead, you try to posture. I see right through it.

Given that you know nothing about me, it is apparent you have a little image of your own creation sitting in your brain while you come up with these little fantasies. You're confronted by your own fantasies, the realization that your thinking is magical, your own admissions that you are easily influenced by rhetoric, marketing, advertising, propaganda, and are now trying to disguise it with a little make-believe.

The fantasy here is the one that words and actions don't have consequences.

You knowingly disseminated propaganda and rhetoric on the internet; propaganda and rhetoric that riled Sayoc up so much he felt he had to build bombs and mail them to all the people you routinely target with your shit, and then disseminate that shit across the internet. That was probably your intention too; you wanted to rile someone up with your rhetoric so they would act violently.

You bear just as much responsibility for this as Sayoc, himself. It was the propaganda and rhetoric you shared that influenced this dude into thinking he needed to mail his intended targets bombs because of the threat he thought they posed. And he only thought that they posed that threat, because of you sharing and disseminating that propaganda and rhetoric.

And now you're pathetically trying to disassociate yourself from your own fucking actions.

What a goddamned baby. Total loser. So fragile.

I never said actions don't have consequences, liar. You can't even keep your propaganda in order, I can only imagine your real life. Again we get to watch as CNN teaches you what to say.

Again, with the CNN shit. This is exactly the problem. You're continuing to do the same fucking things that prompted Sayoc to do what he did. Continuing to spread bullshit right-wing propaganda about CNN, attacking it as fake news or whatever. That is precisely the rhetoric that spurred Soyac to do what he did.

Amazing. You don't even realize you're doing it. Or you do and you just don't care. Which would mean you're exactly the garbage person I said you were.

You're the one who said he was influenced by propaganda, not I. You're the one who admitted he can be sold snake oil so long as it is marketed to him. Maybe it's a coincidence you are spouting the same nonsense as CNN and your DNC handlers, but I highly doubt it.

Trump, on the other hand, complained that "this 'bomb' stuff" was taking attention away from the upcoming election and said critics were wrongly blaming him and his heated rhetoric.

I could hardly believe it when I heard that. He is the complete narcissist. He thinks he's the axis the world revolves on.

trump should call it "terrorism." Throwing Scalise into the argument is just a deflection. I don't know of any liberal who cheered Scalise getting shot.

 "A list purportedly naming dozens of Democrats throughout history who have shot and killed presidents, politicians, and civilians has been circulating online since at least 2012 along with the argument that it should be illegal for Democrats to own guns. Musician Ted Nugent posted one of the most popular iterations in September 2015 (see above.)

This list has evolved since it first started circulating in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting in 2012. The earliest iteration of this list we could uncover only contained five items, but as it spread people added new names and dates and removed old ones that were either irrelevant or disproven.

The earliest versions of this list reveal two things: It has always been rife with errors (Lincoln’s alleged death-by-Democrat was originally listed in 1863, not 1865), and has always circulated with an anti-Democrat, pro-NRA message.

This list is not comprehensive. It does not include all of the shootings that have occurred in the United States, nor the political affiliations of every shooter. It ignores shootings committed by Republicans, as well as those with no political party affiliation, and makes no attempt to show how political affiliation leads to violence. In other words, one could make a similar list naming nothing but Republican or politically unaffiliated shooters in order to make the opposing (and still flawed) argument that those groups should not own guns.

In addition to the logical problems of this meme, much of the information is also inaccurate.

We searched contemporary reports for each of the listed incidents in an attempt to uncover any mentions of political affiliations, motivations, or voting records. Many of these items can be traced back to poor reporting, articles that were later corrected, or fake news items. And although we encountered this meme (or a similar list) on a variety of web sites, none of these publications provided any documentation to back up these claims."

If you are of the mindset that this is some broader, Deep State conspiracy, then you are trafficking in the same type of thought and rhetoric that spurred this asshole to do what he did, and are thus also responsible for it.

blah blah blah, you're so full of shit that your septic tank needs emptying.

It's terrorism. No, I wouldn't defend it. But given the coverage, the left has proven itself to fear fake bombs and "violent rhetoric" more than real bombs, real terrorism, real assassination attempts, and real violence.

Face it,it was a right wing Trump supporter that did this.

Typical Dem.......always wants to continue inciting and baiting people into a fight or violence.
It's done. He's caught. Over. :palm:

Just yesterday, you Trump supporters were post as fact, the bomber was a Democrat, trying to make the Republicans look bad.
Now today, you're singing a different tune?

We've been laughing at you people and crying about the country's condition because of you people for two years.

Two years of unmitigated fail and mockery at this joke horrible presidency.
