I know a lot of cops. None of the cops I know are protecting the very rich or the government. I stand by the fact that is a very stupid statement.
I live in a middle class neighborhood about five miles from the intercity. I don’t see any cops patrolling our neighborhood. Why? Because we don’t have to deal with the violent crimes.
I do see cops patrolling the high crime neighborhoods( that is not the rich neighborhoods). Why? Because they are high crime areas.
Who is protecting the rich? Private cops.
The private cops (who carry guns) are protecting politicians that want to ban guns.
PS. The very rich is the government. Ever see the net worth of the politicians. Add up the net worth of everyone in Congress and it totals over a billion dollars (that is a B for billion).

There were demonstrations, there is rioting and people are holding their arms in the air and saying don’t shoot.
The public vilified this police officer.
An investigation found Brown was a robbery suspect.
Witnesses testified that Brown was punching The officer while Brown was partially inside the officers vehicle.
Witnesses confirm that Brown was charging the officer when he was shot.
Witnesses confirm Brown did not have his arms raised.
Autopsy confirmed high levels of THC.

b) Our culture, our society gives police extraordinary authority. But as is our society's convention, extraordinary authority is attended by extraordinary responsibility.

Our police hold their employers, the People, to account.
Logical reciprocity requires the People to hold the police to account as well.
I consider it a vivid indication about a policeman's true intent, on whether s/he objects to using dash-cams, and body-cams in police-work.
Though a simplification, I suspect most crooked COPs would oppose their use, while most honest COPs would demand them (to help prove their own innocence, in such rare cases).
