I don't see the UN investigating racism in the US as controlling my life. I do not want the UN trying to dictate to the US through treaties but an investigation by a third party might be helpful. The FBI ONLY investigates civil rights violations and not the generic racism that exists in many places in this country.

I don't think you won't vote for Obama for racial reasons. I think you vote for McCain because he is you ONLY choice short of voting for Barr, which I wholeheartedly encourage you to do. But the two of you want to pretend that every act of racism is investigated in this country. It isn't. And WHEN it is the right screams bloody murder, like they did in the Rodney King case. There is nothing wrong with a third party investigating racism in this country so long as their investigation has not official force of law in this country. You don't want it to happen because you know that a third party not beholden to the US might actually discuss some serious issues of racism in this country instead of feed your beliefs that Racism doesn't exist in this country and that minorities are just a bunch of whiney cry babies.
