Kavanaugh should step down.

Nonsense. In the case of Clinton, she was a highly accomplished Secretary of State who also had years of experience as a senator. Plus she was very intelligent, hard working, and dignified (remember the way she utterly demolished Trump in the debates?). As for Obama, he was less impressive in terms of experience, but was extremely smart and, unlike Mccain, he had ideas that went beyond essentially just continuing to do what Bush had been doing and praying that it would start working after years of such abject failure.

One could argue that wingnuts only supported Trump and McCain because they're white men-- after all, the majority of Republicans have voted for a white man in EVERY SINGLE presidential election. They vote for a white man every time, yet have such an utter lack of self-awareness that they imagine that those who voted for Clinton or Obama only did so on the basis of race or gender, despite such people being able to show that they're quite willing to vote for white men in other elections. Sometimes you just have to laugh.

That's what your kind claims when we all know, without a doubt, that it had to do with the things that have been stated.

Keep puckering up. The truth has come out about why you voted and you run from it like a nigger from a job application or a paternity test.

What is it with you righties and slamming the woman's looks?

Let's be honest, Kavanaugh's face looks like a fat newly-peeled potato.

See how that works?

The difference is I don't care and you're already whining like a triggered cunt.

It's the same thing with the terms honkey or cracker and nigger. Plenty of you pieces of shit have a problem with the latter while I could care less what you call me.

See how that works?

Hello anatta,

he "got all defensive" about being called a rapist? gee I can't understand why

A SCOTUS remains impartial for the law. nothing has changed with that.

If he knew he was innocent, he would not be rattled.

Losing his cool = guilty.

Kinda like: 'YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!'

I provided my evidence that the left doesn't vote strictly on the basis of race and gender. The fact is, the majority of lefties have voted for plenty of white men over the years, including the likes of Mike Dukakis, Bill Clinton, John Kerry, and Al Gore. Even in 2016 a white man, Bernie Sanders, did fairly well among liberal voters.

So, as you can see, when lefties think a white man is the best person for the job, they have the track record to show they're willing to vote for one... even when that means rejecting a highly qualified woman or person of color (see, for example, the 2004 Democratic primaries, and Carol Mosley Braun).

Conservatives are a different matter. Never once have the majority of conservatives backed anything other than a white male for president -- not in any presidential election, nor in any presidential primary. They vote for a white man 100% of the time. It's almost unheard of in state-wide races, too-- conservatives will pretty much never pick a black person against a white one in any senate or gubernatorial race, and it's extreme rare for them to pick women over men. The VAST majority of Republican senators and governors have been white men. Even right now, when the GOP is as diverse as it has ever been, of 51 Republican senators, 44 are white men (86%), and of 33 Republican governors, 29 are white men (88%). White men are just 31% of the population, yet they make up ALL of the Republican choices for president throughout history, and nearly all of the current Republicans serving as senators and governors.

There's no evidence that liberals and Democrats favor women and minorities for office -- they actually disproportionately favor white men, too, just not by the overwhelming margins that Republicans and conservatives do. That's consistent with the idea that liberals and Democrats are prejudiced against women and minorities, but only mildly so, while Republicans and conservatives have a massive prejudice against them. Do you have any contrary evidence? Or is it just a matter of you being unable to even fathom the idea that a black person or woman could be more qualified for a job than a white man?

You claim you did. Your statement on your post prove that your concern is looking at skin color or reproductive organ. That you mention is proves it.

Keep believing. Your fellow lefties might support you but those of us that are far smarter than you have you figured out for what you are. A racist and a sexist.

You claim you did.

I claim I did what?

Your statement on your post prove that your concern is looking at skin color or reproductive organ.

How so? I've voted for men and women, and members of various races, for major public office, including the presidency. Can you say the same? Have you voted for anyone other than a white man to be president?

:rofl2:

Monday morning and I needed a good laugh

Once you have it out of your system, let me know if you can think of a substantive response to the FACT that lefties have a pattern of voting outside a particular race or sex, even for top offices like the presidency, while right-wingers pretty much always vote for a white man. Both the left and right are disproportionately likely to vote for white men, but that tendency is vastly stronger on the right, where every single presidential candidate in history that got the majority of conservative votes was a white man, and almost every governor and senator as well.

the GOP has incorporated incessant lying into their party platform

if you can't buy elections, your policies benefit only the wealthy, and the majority of voters are finally waking up to the morally bankrupt stench of your party itself.........time to just make shit up daily and fuck the consequences, it's survival time

REGARDLESS

Yes. If he tried to rape her, he should be disqualified on those grounds. Even if he didn't, though, he effectively disqualified himself by showing that he lacks the temperament, gravitas, and capacity for political impartiality needed for the role. As soon as he started ranting and raving about the revenge of the Clintons, etc., it became clear he was not qualified for anything more than leading a daily Two Minutes Hate on Fox News.

"it became clear he was not qualified for anything more than leading a daily Two Minutes Hate on Fox News."

That's about it.

I look forward to him sitting on the SC.....he deserves the position....
Mrs. Ford hopefully will find the help that she needs....
Win, win.....

Hello Oneuli,

I find it's helpful to keep coming back to the facts, even as they try to derail things with personal insults. That's their whole game: they know they're out of their depth, and so a discussion of the facts isn't advantageous to them. As such, they desperately try to find a person's emotional buttons, in hopes of bringing her down to their level. I refuse to let them do that. Push the buttons as much as you want, and I'll return calmly to the facts. And eventually they'll have to give up even trying to pretend they're interested in engaging on that level. That underscores the intellectual bankruptcy of their position.

Skillfully done.

And I'm glad you're the one doing it.

I value my serenity too much to mix it up with trolls.

Hello Nordberg,

Don't have to go back 30 years. Kavanaugh abused sen. Klobuchar in front of millions yesterday. That behavior was reprehensible and inexcusable.

He also made a remark about the Clintons being after him. He is a conspiracy nut, just like he was when he was on the Starr comm. pushing the Vince Foster craziness. He is a conspiracy nut like many on this board. His horrible anger showed he cannot be a fair minded caller of balls and strikes like he claimed. He is not qualified for any bench.

He's obviously disgruntled and partial.

Nonsense, he was defending his character, but nice try, and a talking point for sure. This is a delay tactic period!
