Ok, now that I've heard both, I believe Kavanaugh is telling the truth.

You didn't feel the Bern?

I have to ask the same question, evince.

Bernie and Trump were absolutely nothing alike to anybody with a sophisticated understanding of political theory.
Uninformed voters are killing this Republic by having no true understanding for what they are voting.
It's a serious indictment of our educational system.

This is what happens when you don't thread ban race hustling thread trolls; the thread goes into the shitter in a hurry. :rofl2:

It's the right and their media. The media even had you fooled into thinking Blacks didn't come out to vote and Blacks are the cause of dump being in office.

The media is corporate owned and very convincing.......they have been for decades.

only Bernie fools who were fed the same lies as the trumpies

I don't know a single supporter of Bernie sanders in the primaries who did not happily vote for Hillary Clinton in the general. Which includes me.

In a nation of 300 million people, they undoubtedly exist. But I think a lot of the Clinton-Sanders rivalry was promoted by a for-profit media interested in the infotainment of a horse race -- in the same way they exaggerated the Obama-Clinton animosity in 2008.

The media ARE (not is) generally corporate owned, especially the traditional electronic media, radio and TV, but what's your point?
You would trust state run media more?
What's your preferred alternative?
Word of mouth?
Please don't say the internet.
That's the biggest clusterfuck of all.

it has been proven the Russians targeted Bernie bots

Learning true american history and the origins of how this society has been established is the only way you will find the real truth about this country.

History has been repeating it's for decades, it's why we can't move forward.

The russians targeted everyone along with the help of the racist right

People decided to believe them. The russians haven't always been inserted into our elections and the racist right still had control.

Americans need to wake up, stop denying and come to terms with it's corrupt and voilent history. Our society is the way it is by design.

Not to mention that we got Yeltsin into office.

That I believe.

I also know for a fact that are at least two Trump-worshipping rightwingers on this board who claim to have voted for Sanders in the primary. Presumably open-primary states.

I do not actually consider those people actual Sanders supporters, or supporters of liberalism or democratic socialism in any way.

Four Points from Christine Blasey Ford That Raise Questions
Viewers are noting some important inconsistencies in the Kavanaugh accuser's statements before the Senate Judiciary Committee

Some inconsistencies in Christine Blasey Ford’s Senate Judiciary testimony on Thursday have bubbled up on social media feeds as the first segment of questions and answers concluded Thursday, ahead of a 30-minute recess.

Here is a sampling of what some consider to be eyebrow-raising comments from the alleged sexual abuse victim that seem to defy common sense.

The backstory: Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who initially wished to remain anonymous, publicly accused Kavanaugh on September 16 of sexually assaulting her some 36 years ago at a high school party in suburban Maryland, when they were both teenagers.

Kavanaugh has vigorously denied all allegations of sexual misconduct or abuse leveled against him; he is also scheduled to speak Thursday afternoon before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Astute viewers noticed this in the questioning by Arizona sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell, who was chosen by the Republicans to question Ford on their behalf:

1.) Press statements. Laura Ingraham, host of "The Ingraham Angle" on Fox News and a co-founder of LifeZette, noted via Twitter, "She did not want to talk to the press but contacted The Washington Post three times in four days?"
2.) Fear of flying? Attorney Wendy Long noticed an inconsistency as well.

She tweeted, "Blasey Ford has a fear of flying from this alleged incident, but Rachel Mitchell just elicited that she's not afraid to fly to Hawaii, Costa Rica, and French Polynesia for recreation ..."

3.) Offer on the table? Townhall Editor Katie Pavlich commented, "Dr. Ford is now saying it wasn't clear to her that Grassley was willing to send staff to California so she didn't have to fly."

She also said, "When asked to explain, her attorneys (Democrat operatives) cut in a cited privilege. Grassley made it extremely clear what the offer was."

4.) "Can't remember"? Ben Shapiro, editor-in-chief of The Daily Wire, also tweeted, "She says this could 'absolutely not' be a case of mistaken identity because of brain function."

He added, "Worth noting she can't remember date, location, or how she got there."

That would render current events irrelevant.
History is important, but it's second hand and always written from a point of view.
News is absolutely essential.
MSNBC is a reliable source of news from my perspective.
Much, much, much less intelligent characters trust Fox.

Not every person in America is a diehard Democrat or Republican. So no, not everyone who votes for a candidate is necessarily down with the cause.

Right now we see ads that tell people to register and vote. Should we instead have ads that say only vote if you are down with the cause of the candidate and if not stay home?

Purely ancedotal but I'll share it anyway. One of my best buddies was a die hard support of Ron Paul in 2012 and of Bernie Sanders in 2016. He hates both parties and liked the candidate that was deemed the most outsider.

As a supposed Bernie supporter would you have told my friend, if given the opportunity, to not vote for Bernie because he's not a died in the wool liberal or democratic socialist?

Current events are a direct reflection of our History. This judge is where he is because of history. History of wealthy white males and their privilege. They have always had it and they are running our country today. They have always done what they wanted without consequence because of their wealth and power.

msnbc has shows that support the republican party like morning joe. Perhaps he's where you got the false information about Blacks voting... I seem to remember him saying something that. There are also msnbc analyst on shows who didn't mind the judge being on the SC even though they knew he was a right wing racist.

Msnbc may have a few shows that are too the left, but those are very few and far between. They still have to give the racist right a voice as if it's a different opinion. Bottom line, they are there to make money and push an agenda that helps the racist right.

Sorry, but I find that hard to believe. I think you went into the Kavanaugh hearings desperately searching for any words, actions or mannerisms that you could see to claim he's guilty.
You desperately wanted him to look and sound guilty so your mind saw him that way.
Be honest. What could he have said or done to make you believe he was innocent?
If you're answer is "Nothing", then you're a victim of bias and partisanship. But, that's okay. It's human nature.

No! Not true! Not true at all.

Let me tell you something that Congressman Kennedy said a couple of days ago, that hit very much at home with me. What he said, was- "I am going to approach this hearing as if Mrs. Ford is my daughter, and that Judge Kavanaugh is my son." Now, having both a son and a daughter, I remember when I actually did have to listen to both of them to decide a true family matter pending before us, and where no way could both my son and daughter be telling me the truth, as their stories were in direct conflict with one another. What I learned was both them were actually telling me the truth, but because of an unknown factor not present until I further investigated the matter by contacting a 3rd party player, that was playing the matter from both sides, causing the problem in the first place.

So, yesterday, I also approached the witnessing of the testimonies as Kennedy said he did, and I came to the conclusion, that more evidence is needed to say one way or another. I'm still looking for a 3rd party player to break the tie.

I am not even at a position where I can take a stab at this one yet, without more evidence in the matter.

My opinions expressed here in this forum, are not necessarily motivated against Kavanaugh for any kind of political reason. My comments here are to try and point out the totally preposterous statements made by some of the most hateful Idiots here in this forum and to attack them and their careless and reckless statements they made here in this forum.

I am on their case, and will not relent, nor pull any punches. I will continue to point out their hatred and hypocrisy and stupidity!
