What is the status of the blue wave

The blue wave is an urban legend ..... like HRC winning in a landslide back in 2015.

All hype and bullshit for the sheeple to parrot.
 
Republican paid for, rasmussen polling as of September 19th has Democratic candidates up 5% nationally.

Triple that for real world numbers.

Spread grows daily with GOP hearings and scandals.

There is nothing to suggest it will happen other than the GOP is underpolling. The DNC is still having trouble getting across the 50 yard line in national generic polling. They are perma-stuck around 48-49%. To have a blue wave guaranteed they would need to add about 4-5 points to that average. In addition, if you look at House turnover rates, the pattern for incumbent re-election has been pretty cyclical since the 70's. We can reasonable expect that somewhere around 95-96% of incumbents will be re-elected. The DNC has peaked. So to get across they think getting the base emotionally whipped up will Get out their vote.

All that said, there isn't a lot to suggest they couldn't theoretically get a majority. There just isn't a lot to go on either way. I personally think they are poisoning their own well with the current sex scandal. It would turn out more voters for them if they made it about protecting women and worker rights than some high school kid who may or may not have touched a drunk girl's boobies. They are way off message for the House. What they are doing is making a play for the Senate under the assumption the House is a done deal by driving a wedge between a couple GOP senators and their constituencies. It is the same pattern of "It isn't a question of whether or not Hillary will win, but how big her landslide will be" thinking that cost them dearly.

I would not call it a blue waive, it looks like the Senate will most likely remain unchanged as to overall numbers.

The house will most likely flip.

Which is the logical conclusion, but from now until 2020, unless the Democrats win substantial majorities in both chambers, the right will be throwing the term "blue wave" around as if it was the deposit bet from the left

I’m not predicting anything, as usual, it depends on turnout. Polls are usually, likely voters. There are people who haven’t ever voted or who haven’t vote in a long time preparing to vote this election. I await the election results and am just inspired by the number of women who are running. It will only get better as more millennials participate.

So far, I think the momentum is with the Democrats, we will have to see how we come out of the current Kavanaugh mess in Washington.

If we get a percentage boost for the Democrats, we might gain a seat or two in the Senate, but I am not counting on that.

Florida, Arizona, Texas, and Tennessee are close.
