I’d wager Trump has a replacement for Kavanugh already picked out if things go south. The morning after the democrats succeed in removing Kavanugh put the new person in. Since democrats have already played the decades old sexual assault card—would they risk doing it again?

Would Kavanugh be light years better than his replacement? No.

This woman must be taken seriously and given her chance to testify before the Senate. If her story is believable and compelling, he will never be confirmed.

I think you must put politics aside and deal with reality. If the Senate chooses to ignore her, Kavanaugh may still not be confirmed.
 
She might give Kav a black eye, nothing more. He'll be confirmed.

It's almost always a single accuser in these cases, that's the problem. Given the backing of Trump, he is almost certainly guilty, but even trumpites need a free trial, I suppose.
