edit to add ….The thing you have to remember about toothless hillbillies: It was probably his meth lab that burned down, but the nike sneakers was his way of explaining the "mishap".

You just know this whole burning the Nikes gig was not a grass roots idea. I would love to be a fly on the wall of the Sean Hannity show staff meeting when they came up with the idea of burning nikes, and selling the concept to teabaggers. I mean, people in the wingnutosphere actually get paid money to come up with utter horseshit like this.

According to authorities, Jason Helms, 26, placed a pair of Nike sneakers in his garage and soaked them in Kerosene before lighting them on fire and filming it with his iPhone. The fire ended up spreading to the garage walls and ceiling before spreading to his actual home. Helms called 911 but by the time firefighters arrived they were unable to save his home.
