NFL's Request for Colin Kaepernick Collusion Case Dismissal Denied by Arbitrator

Collusion Case Reveals NFL Teams Do View Kaepernick as a Starter

The ongoing collusion case against the NFL which was brought by Colin Kaepernick has revealed multiple NFL teams believed the quarterback was good enough to start in the league in 2017.

Citing a source with knowledge of the situation, ProFootballTalk reports that some teams continue to believe Kaepernick can be an NFL starter.

That finding came to light during the case thanks to free-agency evaluation documents that were used as evidence and testimony from witnesses during the litigation process.

Despite that information, it remains uncertain if Kaepernick can prove teams and the league office have been coordinating their efforts to keep him off the field thanks to his ties to the national anthem protests.

“Whether coordination can or can’t be proven, the collusion case will conclusively prove one thing, regardless of whether anyone wants to believe it: Multiple teams believed that Colin Kaepernick was still good enough to play after becoming a free agent more than a year ago,” according to ProFootballTalk. “Which means that, at least as to Kaepernick, the notion that teams make decisions based only on trying to win football games doesn’t hold water.”

NFL execs admit Kaepernick is better than these 6 starters

According to an ESPN survey — which polled “nine general managers, 13 coordinators, six personnel directors, five other executives, five head coaches, seven other assistant coaches, three analytics directors and two national scouts” and asked them to place the league’s quarterbacks, and Kaepernick, into tiers — there are six teams that would benefit from his being their starter.

Kaepernick was the 28th-ranked QB overall, just behind Broncos signal-caller Trevor Siemian and Chicago’s $45 million man, Mike Glennon. Kaepernick outranked his successor in San Francisco, Brian Hoyer, Jacksonville’s Blake Bortles, the Rams’ Jared Goff, Houston’s Tom Savage, the Jets’ Josh McCown and whoever is the Browns quarterback (he outpaced Brock Osweiler, Cody Kessler and the unranked DeShone Kizer).

I'd say the bolded are a far better judge of Kaepericks talents than fans.

You're story is out of date, as Goff had a huge season last year, and Bortles played well enough that Jacksonville would be retarded to swap him for Kaeperpick. And never let it be forgotten that Kaeperpick played behind Blaine Gabbert, who is worse than the other four QBs.

viewing him as a starter doesnt necessarily mean they would hire him. It still depends on the amount of money he asks for. Even the best players like James have to consider the fact that other players have to be fitted into the salary cap.

Collusion is rampant these days lol.

The NFL is a strict meritocracy so Kap would have to prove his abilities were such that no reasonable owner would deny hiring him.

There's no such think as a functioning meritocracy in American business.

As for the NFL, the harder that they're hit in court, the more I'd like it.

Patriots fans don't love the NFL.
I wish that the team could find a classier league in which to play.

He's still unemployed...

Put it this way, if Kap were as good as Brady he’d be playing somewhere.

Period. Kneeling or no kneeling.

The story is not out of date and I'm sure it will be used in court to determine Kaepernick's skills at the time .. and just because two of these quarterbacks had a good year, that doesn't mean that Kaepernick wouldn't have had a better or equally good year.

I repeat, the bolded NFL experts have a far better perspective on his skills than any fan.

They'll figure that out in court .. but his case is looking good in his favor.

Colin Kaepernick's collusion grievance against the NFL continued Thursday when an arbitrator declined to dismiss the case after a request for a summary judgment by the league, Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson reported Thursday.

so now Kaperdicks crusade has been reduced to try and extort money from the NFL.

what a waste his life has become. What does his future hold for him? shame, hang his head in shame everywhere he and his family go

Uh, no, he 100% would not have had a better year.
