Maybe the defense couldn't be sure Manafort wouldn't hurt himself by testifying.

You are truly clueless.

First of all, Manafort still has time to flip, right up until the judge passes sentence. Manafort could very well be holding off until after the verdict just to see if he needs to flip. If the verdict is guity, the prosecution can still offer him a reduced sentence in exchange for any information he might have that Mueller & co. might deem valuable.

We'll see what kind of balls he has soon enough.

Interesting though, the kind of criminal scum people like you admire.

He'll probably be found guilty of something. The trial is in the most liberal part of the DC suburbs.
 
He no doubt hid money from the damned us gov. How in the hell could that justify life in prison ? The entire thing is an unlawful fruit of the poisoned tree/seditious treason coup by the entire deepstate. There must be an intervention soon. Be patient.

If Trump pardons this piece of human waste, congress needs to take away the power to pardon! Trump has badly misused the power to pardon, I don't want to see any future POTUS misuse this power, so end it now! Who is Trump going to pardon next, Dylann Roof?!!

You've got a point. I've personally caused two mistrials by hung jury--just because I didn't like the shitkicker fucktards with whom I was doing jury duty!
Absolute truth. I haven't been called for jury duty for a long time, though. Maybe it's an age thing.

But that's mistrial--not acquittal. You only get acquittal or conviction if you've got pussy jurors who fold to peer pressure. That was NEVER me.

Nothing would surprise me about that waste of oxygen, especially after he pardoned lowlife Arpaio.
 
Perhaps you can research that as well as the meaning of the word "probably". You seem to be the one indicating he will be found guilty. We live in a country where there is a presumption of innocence. That you presume guilt illustrates precisely the point I was making.

Not 100% sure. I don't think it would be if he was found guilty the first time and got a federal pardon, then was retried on state charges by the state govt.

Or, they could try him on another, different set of charges.

I read somewhere that Mueller was holding back some charges and keeping them in his back pocket just for such a possibility.
