OK...(we play a tape of the anthem before each little swim meet, btw...no one kneels or throws up a fist....and if we forgot to play it, they'd be disappointed)

I notice you only had two players chatting...and it did kind of explode...but not in the way you and others hoped it would...;)

The way it went...an explosion.

Something that should be over...and would have been...if a few assholes led by a chief asshole hadn't helped it become a big thing. One, I might point out, that is still going on.

So why not just keep giving their own time, money, and resources...etc.? The special tributes are not always allowed...but then, that's not a protest...is it?
Let them exercise their free speech if they want....when they aren't working;)

It surely did "explode"...and it's no longer what it was "intended" to be...that's for sure...but, you are welcome to think as you like and blame the "assholes"... That's why it's just political now, and not much else...
Or everyone concerned about social injustice would be taking a knee by now...

Why not shit on American flags at police stations? Those are govt entities which guarantee free speech.

I don't want a non political event ruined with politics, which is all it is.

How about we allow them to protest whatever the hell way they want...so long as it is legal?

THOSE WHO WANT TO...can do it, if they choose.

The only reason you seem to be bothered by all this...

...IS BECAUSE IT IS WORKING.

The message they wanted to get through...is getting through.

And because the assholes giving them help are giving them help the way they are...

...and ancillary benefit is being reaped. People are seeing the anti-protest protestors...as the dinosaurs they are.

Oh...and the assholes they are also.

I didn't tell anyone that they "couldn't"...I just suggested that the media focus on the anthem and those who enjoy listening and watching....Why are you so determined to be against that?

Anyone who has an entire game "ruined" because a few players kneel quietly in peaceful protest should refrain from ever calling anyone a "snowflake."
