NATO is a Cold War Relic

The web brigades (Russian: Веб-бригады), also known as Russia's troll army, Russian bots, Kremlinbots,[1] troll factory,[2][3] or troll farms are state-sponsored anonymous Internet political commentators and trolls linked to the Russian government. Participants report that they are organized into teams and groups of commentators that participate in Russian and international political blogs and Internet forums using sockpuppets and large-scale orchestrated trolling and disinformation campaigns to promote pro-Putin and pro-Russian propaganda.[4][5][6][7] It has also been found that articles on Russian Wikipedia concerning the MH17 crash and the 2014 Ukraine conflict were targeted by Russian internet propaganda outlets

Are you citing a source without linking to it, Lush?

Nope

The Lusitania was in 1915 dipshit. We went another 2 years without getting involved. If you don't wanna die, maybe don't travel on a ship carrying munitions in a warzone.

Exactly; and one of the reasons used to go to war. We tried to stay neutral while German U-boats stalked our coast and sank our ships. Are you purposefully ignorant of history or just pretend to be this dense?

How about WWII and Korea; how did that work for us?

It's a wonder you aren't a global superpower!

PS you are going to lose in the world cup the first great team you face, like France! France the greatest country in Europe!

Would you rather see France win? I mean granted England winning the Cup is even scarier than the Cubs winning the World Series and is a sure sign of the coming of the apocalypse. I’d still rather face the imminent destruction of life as we know it then have the insufferable French win it again. Let’s be reasonable now.

Hopefully Belgium and Croatia will make a moot point.

Billy is operating from a false premise. The US declared war on Germany because of the Zimmerman telegram. Certainly both the US and Germans violation of neutrality played a roll leading up to war but at that time and given the unprecedented butchery of WW1 the American public’s attitude was “You take a ship to Europe and you take your chances.

The Zimmerman telegram revealed an overt act of war by Germany and it proved a fatal mistake. The American public reversed 180 degrees when they learned Germany was negotiating an alliance with Mexico to wage war on the US when they resumed unrestricted submarine warfare.

I appreciate the history lesson; but it misses my point to Billy. How did staying out of wars and minding out own business work in WWI, WWII and Korea?

Ahh point taken and to your point our involvement lead us to become the worlds dominant super power and usher in an unprecedented era off world peace and prosperity.

The simple truth is America cannot retreat behind its borders and our foreign commitments are mostly, though certainly not always, in our own self interests.

Man, you're truly a nasty piece of work.

I’ve admonished him for that. France win? God forbid.

I have mixed emotions. Belgium and Croatia are such underdogs its hard not to cheer for them. Given England’s elite club play and long stretch of World Cup futility it just seems the Gods have determined it’s just not meant to be. England choking in the elimination rounds is one of the World Cups greatest tradition. So many of us are convinced that Rngland winning is a sure sign of the coming of the apocalypse.

Having said that I’m willing take that chance. Anyone but France.

I’m sure FIFA would like nothing better than England vs. France in the finals.
