The ONLY reason why Trump is a Republican, is because they welcome his Bigotry and they believe in his Racism, so Lying is just a way to re enforce their own beliefs.

To be fair, many of the Republican establishment didn't like him and probably still don't, but they're scared of his 'base'.

One day I expect the knives will be out. The Ides of March will have nothing on it.

They seem more than willing to drink the figurative Kool Aid. My guess is that if he ordered them to drink arsenic laced Kool Aid...they would do it.
