I always do my own research. This was your claim. I had not heard of it prior to today. Now, let's have a look at what Sen Gillibrand said in full context

Somehow, I don't know how, but SOMEHOW, when you reflected your version of the story, this part was left out:

"reimagine it and build something that actually works"

Your version is all they said was abolish it. That is an oversimplification. Makes is sound like they are for not enforcing the law. Makes it sound like they want open borders. but no legislator has said either of those things.

Facts and 'alternative facts' are not the same thing. The right operates on propaganda. Why don't you guys get your story straight so we are all talking about the same thing? You have this altered version of the situation on almost every issue. I don't get it. Is that because you can't really argue your position if we all use the same facts? If your position is so bad that you have to try to alter reality to get the other side to argue about what should be accepted as fact, then your position is bad.
