Nearly every mention of this meeting has been spun, mischaracterized, ignored, or straight-up lied about by the right since it happened, and then to top it off the House GOP "investigation" just dismissed it as "bad judgement"
You have the upper echelon of the Trump campaign not only willing to meet with Russians in Trump Tower but eagerly looking forward to the meeting. When the sit down is exposed, the same individuals get caught in repeated lies about the encounter, and it is dismissed as just "bad judgement" by the same Committee that quickly accepted Don Jr's ridiculous claim about attorney-client privilege when questioned on the matter
If this involved Democrats or anyone with the Clinton campaign the right, especially the right wing media, would be launching conspiracies on top of conspiracies and demanding further examination
