KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! KNOW THE LAW!

As a minor, I was charged with assaulting 5 police officers. I'm a little wiser now.

Maybe you should run for congress?

you were charged for assaulting the governments enforcement agents to teach you a lesson about who your masters are. it seems you accepted that lesson fully and want to force others to become as meek as you.

At least I'm not sitting in a prison cell with you.

I anxiously await the news coverage of your shootout with the authorities ... and over throw of the U.S. gov't.

The smart response is to work the system, NOT buck the system. I'm surprised you didn't learn that in the military.

But if you want to shoot it out in the streets with the cops ... or from your barricaded home, ... that's fine with me.

I've been pulled over numerous times and I haven't been issued a ticket, except for one on a burnt out headlight (which is a story unto itself).

The last time was coming back from an event and I was driving the support vehicle.
I could see a vehicle tailing us, from some ways back and when it started to accelerate, the guys on the bikes took off and I hung back.

Turned out the vehicle tailing us was a Cop and he had been waiting for his backup.

Since the bikes were long gone, I guess he decided that I was all he was going to get and on came the lights.

I pulled over and was asked the usual requests:
License
Registration
Insurance card

And then this is approximately how the rest went:

Where did the guys on the bikes go?
Not sure. I'm just giving this guy a ride home.

Do you know why I pulled you over?
No.

I pulled you over for speeding.
Really

Do you know how fast you were going?
Officer, you and I know that your question is a double edged sword.

How so?
If I say YES and this goes to Court, the first thing you're going to say is that I admitted that I knew how fast I was going - and - If I say no, then you're going to say I admitted that I didn't know how fast I was going.

Then do you know the speed limit?
There's that double edged sword again.

How so?
If I say yes and this goes to Court, then the first thing you're going to say is that I admitted I knew what the speed limit was - and - If I say no, then you're going to say that I admitted that I didn't know what the speed limit was.

So you don't know if you were speeding or not?
That's not what I said; but if you need to me to, I can reiterate what I did just say.

So you must have been pulled over a lot?
No, I'm just educated.

He looks at me for a minute or so and says he'll be right back.
He goes back to his vehicle and I assume he runs me for warrants and the such.

While all of this is going on; his backup is talking to my passenger and trying to see if they can get conflicting statements, to no avail.

He then comes back, hands me my paperwork, and proceeds to tell me:
I'm not going to issue you a ticket, at this time; but you know if this had gone to Court, that I would have won.
I just looked at him, smiled, and said that I was always told to not argue it, on the side of the road.

He gets what I think looks like a frustrated look on his face, says thank you, and him and his partner walk away.

Voluntary conversations are only used to try and discover anything that can be used against you and it is possible to be a little obstinate, without being a jerk about it. :D

You disparage all the military servicemen and women ... as slaves. Nice to know what you actually believe. You are better than all of those slaves :palm:

assumption is the mother of all fuck ups. I know many good men and women who have served, some for 20 years, who believed and still believe the same way I do. but I guess they all disparage those others as well....because the one thing you have to do as a military member is worship uncle sam, aint that right?
