There were lots of clues and warnings about Cruz. The sad part is none of that stopped him from buying a gun, The NRA was pleased to make another sale. That is their function after all. help gun manufacturers make more money.

If the background checks don't stop terror suspects from purchasing a gun, how can more or longer checks do the job?
Remember that this is the government we're talking about. They can even screw up a gas can given the time to do it.
And moving the target away from schools would be a good first step unless you don't care about childrens lives.

That's what idiots like archives don't get. The background check could be more in depth and a waiting period could be a year. It wouldn't make a difference. Criminals don't get guns in a manner where anything or the sort makes a difference.
