How can we contact Trump to enlighten him on issues where he's clearly askew?

Candidate Trump PROMISED he'd build a wall, and that Mexico would pay for it.
Mexico isn't going to pay for it.

But instead of acknowledging his own failure, Trump appears to bull his way forward with a multi-$Billion project, and stick the U.S. tax payers with the bill.

So what?

Those that have worked on U.S. / Mexico border security have already acknowledged, a physical barrier is not a panacea. Steel U.S. border wall has already had holes hacked through it large enough to drive a truck through.
The holes, tunnels, & other breaches used by illegal immigrants are more numerous.

BUT !!

Instead of a literal wall, suppose the allocated $money were spent on surveillance & detection equipment?
Such 3rd millennium solutions might be ideal for the wide open spaces at issue for much of the as yet unfortified border.

If Trump was so versatile on the funding source for his n'er-do-wall, shouldn't he be equally versatile about the design? Even at the risk of saving the U.S. $tax $payer $Billions?
 
Trump knew the wall would appeal to the low level voters. There will be no wall. The demonstration walls are 3 miles from the border in government land. The wall would take much private land. They would have to use eminent domain to take it. there would be eternal court cases.

The Mexicans built a tunnel 3 miles long into a Max security prison and came up exactly in El Chapos cell. The wall is a chimera. Drugs come in through border crossing by the ton. Illegals come in through our airports. They overstay their Visas. An intelligent voter would laugh at the wall.

They were detained but released in county to sponsers/relatives..few showed up for court hearings.
Or you situations like DACA. So it depends on the levels of enforcement -which vary by POTUS.

The wall is the wall- no matter who is POTUS

But it's going to be a wall and assorted security features -not just a wall
 
Call "Fox and Friends," maybe they'll take call ins on the air, but you'd have to lie to the screener, the right wing media would never allow any view that contradict the one they are selling to reach the lemmings

Walls are 19th Century thinking, unless you intend to station the US Army on the Wall it is useless

At best, the Federal and State Gov't own thirty percent of the land where this wall would go, meaning if they intended to make it inclusive the Court fights would extend for over a decade

And the point you are missing is that the President promised endlessly that the Wall was going up day one and Mexico was paying for it

I can't post a link because I heard it on radio. But I heard Obama deported more illegal aliens than any other U.S. president before him.

Beware your bias confirmation. It's particularly distracting for unflinching partisans like you.

this is where the lack of education bites you in the ass. 40% come in by air and overstay their tourist visas so your wall only appeals to the uneducated like you

It's already happened. Trump / McConnell / Ryan understand Mexico won't pay for the wall, & so our Republican controlled federal government is planning to charge the U.S. $tax $payer $Billions for the $freebie Trump promised U.S.

So my counterpoint M #9 is, since we KNOW we can get through to Trump, the question is how to do so on this issue?

Failing to do so will:
- $cost us $More
- reduce our level of security

Don't think about the wall Trump promised U.S. Mexico would pay for as practical security. Think of it as a frightened xenophobes security blanket; something he can cling to when he sucks his thumb at night.

Their is a wall and fence lines and other barriers right now..... and there are dozens of ways Mexico will pay

Construction for the first iteration of the so-called “Border Wall” began in 1993 under President Clinton....
Obviously, border 'fencing' proved inadequate and that brings us to a real wall....
