That would have stopped the school shootings, HOW??

The shooter would have been underage and hence the police could have arrested him when the school authorities became aware of his threats to kill people. He would also not legally be able to buy and own weapons like the AR15.

What makes you think that at the time he was voicing his comments, that he already had the AR; especially since none of this came out, until AFTER he shot up the school.

Home made weapons, gun kits and guns manufactured before 1968 do not require serial numbers. Also why isn't there an ATF database recording all serial numbers against owners? At present they have to employ a manual search and make phone calls to check.
