Breaking: FBI has 'grave concerns' about accuracy of GOP memo

There certainly was election meddling by an unfriendly power. Collusion is a possibility which needed to be investigated, as Rosenstein said when he appointed Mueller.

What do you think Trump and his busy helpers are afraid of?

Trump doesn’t have to be afraid of anything to want the investigation to end.

Or to undermine it.

(CNN)The FBI issued a rare public warning on Wednesday that a controversial Republican memo omits key information that could impact its veracity.
Updated 1:09 PM ET, Wed January 31, 2018

"With regard to the House Intelligence Committee's memorandum, the FBI was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it," the agency said in a statement. "As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo's accuracy."

Some Justice Department officials had concerns about publicly expressing continued opposition to releasing the memo, according multiple officials. The FBI went ahead and issued the statement anyway. President Donald Trump had already been angered by the letter that the Justice Department sent to the House Intelligence Committee warning the release would be "extraordinarily reckless."

The FBI warning was the latest evidence of law enforcement and intelligence agencies raising concerns about the potential public release of a memo composed by the staff of Republican Congressman Devin Nunes of California.

Ooopppsss

You scared?

It's getting funnier by the day, now the big talking point in the right wing media, and thusly echoed here, is "coup," now does that mean that the "secret society," which was last week's conspiracy before it was busted, going to lead this supposed "coup?" Maybe you have to wait till Hannity tells you who the "coup" leaders are

And at the same time, the FBI Director, the Director appointed by Trump, Trump's FBI Director, passes judgement on Nunes's memo, "it contains inaccurate information and paints a false narrative." Imagine that, a source who could actually read the classified documents Nunes"s charade is based upon, comes out and portrays it as bogus. Must be he's part of the "deep state," or wait, is the "deep state" suppose to lead the "coup?"

On July 27, 29, and 30, 1974, the Committee approved three articles of impeachment against Nixon, for obstruction of justice, abuse of power, and contempt of Congress, and reported those articles to the House of Representatives.

He resigned and the only UNELECTED president that ever served pardoned him before a court could go after him

that means Nixon was guilty

I never thought the Republicans would ever be at war with the US inteiligence community, in favor of trade protectionism and in love with Russia.
I never thought Democrats would have to defend the intelligence community from attack by the president, defend NATO from a Republican threat,
and fill the sanity gap with respect to what kind of state actor Russia is.

well jarod, a couple of things:

schiff wont let the house view his chicken scratch memo. He wants them to vote on classified information sight unseen. that's pretty stupid, don't you think?

Also there is one republican congressmen apparently that was allowed to see it and they've claimed it actually BOLSTERS the nunes memo.

So I agree, everything should be released.

The one Congressman who has read the original material IS Schiff. He agrees with Wray.

wow!!
so Schiff wants a Committee wide vote but doesn't want to show the full committee the Dem version?
Schiff is a little piece of shit rank partisan, only caring about undermining Nunes-
not any truth, not even willing to put his seen version up for a vote

After his little midnight ride to the WH to be spoonfed material from them, only to spoonfeed it to Trump himself, why Nunes is even allowed to still be part of this process is a travesty.

No I don't think it's a big secret. This is all about undermining Mueller, that's effing obvious.

The question is, what is Trump afraid of? Mueller can't do anything except by due process. If there's nothing there, nothing will come of it.

To be honest, for a long time I didn't think Trump had anything to hide, at least as regards collusion. Now I'm not so sure.

It's the financial stuff that scares the shit out of Orangetweet.
