The wall is a waste of money, but the democrats were idiots to shut down the government over DACA. This is the worst possible thing ever to hold hostage. There is no upside for them. The only people happy are people who would already be in the democratic camp.

I agree. This is one of those really dumb moves by Democrats that will have them scratching their heads and writing tell-all books when it helps contribute to their losing in November. I mean, military servicemembers always lean GOP, so, Dems aren't really losing our votes over this. But, civil servicemembers only lean Dem because they perceive the DNC as the source of their paychecks and benefits. If the Dems cost them their paychecks, then they no longer have a reason to vote for them. That's huge in places like Virginia.
