You are conflating some issues here. There is a difference between a law that is passed an a bureaucrat enacting a regulation based on a biased interpretation of a law
LOL. As I said, for you it is "This one good to ignore, that one bad." For me it is always, "Government overreach is bad."
Absolute rubbish, even when you are paying attention sometimes the reason for the First Amendment exists and we should tell the government they are wrong.I get that maybe to some there is practically no difference. Thankfully, if we get the right people into SCOTUS the minority will still be protected...
But I reject just ignoring laws. If you aren’t paying attention to what your politicians are doing, then that is on you.
I get the government that the majority votes for, there is a difference. You get the government you vote for.
To hear people talk here it would appear the entire country is for legalizing pot. So it shouldn’t be hard to make happen.
Right. It shouldn't, but there are some people out there that think that nothing should change because, "It's the law." As I said before I reject that.
More like it should be the same as for alcohol... but m'eh. I'm good with that, it is far better than making sure it is available to kids because the black market never checks IDs.My last point and it isn’t an argument for or against legalizing pot so keep your bee hat on is that the pro pot crowd is very inconsistent on the issue
For one, if they were truly consistent they would be advocating for abolition of all illegal drugs. Cocaine, heroin, crystal meth etc. The principle being argued for legalizing pot should be the same.
Additionally they should also argue for kids to be able to use these drugs if parents allow it. To do otherwise would by tyrannical.
Oh I know you will kvetch and say these are absurd arguments, but that is what most do when their arguments fall apart.
