It wasn’t Obama’s intention to arm ISIS.
But they were armed as a result of his policy.
oh gawd..I had forgotten that gem..Not to mention in Syria where were arming the ‘moderate’ rebels.
Obama made it clear that his JV team was to be ignored (and allowed to grow). Only he knows his true intentions. We can only judge by the results.
His apparent kowtowing to the Iranian mullahs spawned a few conspiracy theories.
I think Obama’s policy in the region was a mix of naive idealism and plain old incompetence though.
Hussein is considered to be a Shia name. He only did enough to keep up an appearance that he wasn't 100% pro Islamic extremism, IMO. He even appeared reluctant to give the kill order on OBL.
Good for Trump & his admin, but overall, he is a terrible leader.
We've lowered a lot of standards w/ Trump. Things like character & honesty used to be important to the right; that's all finished.
But praising Trump's "leadership"? For a few comments? We have to have some rationality here. Trump is not a leader. The qualities he possesses and exhibits regularly are not those that any intelligent person would ascribe to good leadership.
Let's not keep lowering the bar.
I think He's a terrible leader.
How did he "appear reluctant"?
Please expound.

Here's a small sampling for you, Bubbleboy.

Aug 21, 2012 - Hillary Rodham Clinton talked a reluctant President Obama into killing Osama bin Laden — after the president canceled plans for the mission three times,... ... But he remained uneasy about giving the final “kill” order. He was even seized by a “fourth moment of indecision” on May 1, 2011, when it was ...
Valerie Jarrett was his key advisor, she was born in Iran so she might have had an influence with the sweet [if you’re Iran] Iranian deal. Entirely plausible but it’s speculation.
Obama isn’t a Muslim—-though he was one in his younger years. You could tell he had a soft spot for Islam from his Cairo speech. But rather than a dark conspiracy, I think his handling of the region stemmed mostly from his naïveté. His policy actions reflected it to the extent many people wondered which side he was on.
‘The world’ can say what they will about Trump, but they can’t question whose side he is on.
Reluctant due to the risk - not due to the false characterization you offered.

So now you admit seeing the "reluctance"
Make up your mind idiot!!!
Obama does not mind killing U.S. soldiers. He publicly exposed Seal Team Six ... and many died.
Your characterization that he was reluctant due to extremist sympathies is wholly unsupportable.
I haven't changed my mind on that.

The Trump administration is speaking out in support of Iranian citizens after protests challenging Iran's government erupted in major cities.
The protests were sparked this week by anger over economic issues — prices of basic goods like eggs and poultry have surged. Thousands have since taken to the streets of several cities in Iran, and demonstrators have criticized Iran's government during the protests.

the issue is trump's inability to lead, and the fact that 90% of the world considers him a buffoon. If you'd like to discuss Obama's favorability rating, it came out last week.
