Trump's health: Extremely obese - stuffing face with hamburgers & soda

Post mortem is one of those scary religious freaks. Say you love Jesus and he will suck your cock and let you get away with any stupidity. Use your brain and he is your online lurking passive aggressive enemy for life. Pure religious Cult. I don't engage with stupid cult members. No reason.

Post mortem = PIMP? He's a Christian?

We have no clue what his actual height is, either. A BMI of 29, however, is considered overweight. I would be more concerned about heart health, given that diet, as well as general blood vessel health. His "job" is mostly sedentary, and comes with a very high stress level. Even for a trim and fit younger man like President Obama, you could see it take its toll over the eight years that he served.

I'm surprised that Trump consented to the physical by a doc that wasn't on retainer. Are the findings a matter of public record, or does the president also enjoy physician-patient privilege?
Good question. I think they report the health of the POTUS. I remember seeing Reagan's prostate on t.v.

It's really unbelievable the lengths they'll go to for trump. Every single day the man condemns himself by his own words and cons still call honest reporting "fake news."

Actually, not unbelievable at all too me. A decade plus of message board adventures has clearly illuminated for me just how relentless many rightwing posters are at lying, propagandizing, making false claims and accusations, playing dumb, and practicing unrelenting dishonesty without the slighted remorse or hint of conscience.

I mean, we are talking about people who will side with Vladimir Putin against an American president.

What always struck me in particular, is how rightwingers refused to accept the Iraq War was a complete and utter disaster....long after it had become clear to reasonable people.

I know, right? OTOH my late father-in-law lived into his mid-90s. He was in his 60s-70s when I knew him. He was markedly obese, the only exercise he got was mowing the lawn, he insisted on food cooked with bacon grease and/or lard.... but still lived to be that old. He spent the last some years of his life, however, in a nursing home because he had dementia. Genetics has a lot to do with stuff.

My brother eats horribly. It's processed food, potatoes, pizza, bacon, and soda. He does eat salad, but no dressing, and covered with cheese, and bacon bits. He on the other hand works a lot, and is always tinkering with stuff. He, and a few others built a Garage from the ground up recently, so he can store, and work on his boat baby.
A lot of it is genetic. We'd have to see about Fred's ailments late in life.

I had a friend who was vegan for decades. He just died of colon cancer...something his father died of. Shame is that in the 21st century, there's no need for a 55 year old to die of colon cancer...if only the fool would have condescended to get a colonoscopy at 50. Especially given his family history.

How sad. Remember that running guru, Jim Fixx? Trim and athletic and ran constantly -- and dropped over dead one day out of the blue while jogging, at age 52.

Fred had Alzheimer’s but died of pneumonia at the age of 93.

A pretty common cause of death for AD patients. As the brain deteriorates, swallowing becomes a serious issue. They often aspirate liquids or even their own saliva, and develop pneumonia as a result.

You never know. Some athletes take drugs that are good for athletic performance but lower life span. Some people actually have "thick" blood that is preferntial for taking oxygen to muscles and so they excel.
On the other hand, they sometimes die at 52 without warfarin... Darwin has his own plan that doesn't necessarily coincide with our plans and ideals.

Another interesting discussion of Twittler's NYT interview Thursday.

"The president of the United States is not well. That is an uncomfortable thing to say, but it is an even worse thing to ignore. "
...
"It would be comforting, on some level, to believe that Trump is simply lying, that he is trying to convince us of what he knows to be untrue. It is scarier to believe that Trump is delusional, that he has persuaded himself that Democrats have said things they’ve never said, that his base has strengthened when it has actually weakened, that it’s really his opponents under investigation for collusion, that his campaign has been cleared of wrongdoing when the circumstantial case for collusion has only grown stronger."

Not sure that is evidence of his lack of physical wellness. Clearly he is not intellectually or morally right. Needs help.

By the opposite side of the same token, my mom though not fat, was not what you'd call thin either. A little on the plump side like most women get with age. But for most of her life, she never went to the doctor for annual checkups. It was not until she was well into her 80's that she began seeing the doctor on a regular basis, and it was then when she found out that she had high BP and type 2 diabetes. Probably had both conditions for decades.

It was only then that she started taking BP medication and cutting down on carbohydrates. But she also didn't switch to any kind of strict diet high in fruits & vegetables either.

Anyway, when she passed away a few months ago she was less than four months away from her 95th birthday.

Would've been tomorrow AAMOF. :(

That's what got my mom, but she didn't have dementia. Aside from her hearing difficulties, I could still have a normal conversation with her. But she still managed to develop pneumonia from having aspirated and that did her in.

I think she was ready to go, though.

Six months in a nursing home was all she could bear.

I don't think Darwin is a god but point taken. Genetics has a huge amount to do with how long we live, and the state of our health as we're doing it. Like the example of my late father-in-law who was obese, didn't exercise, loved foods heavy in fats, lived to be 90-something. His son who I was married to didn't fare so well in the genetic dept. He also was obese, did not exercise, loved bacon, ham, fried stuff. He had a coronary bypass in his mid 50s and died of stomach cancer at age 63.

There is a genetic disposition to be aspirin-resistant. I have that gene and so does my older brother, who had a minor stroke earlier this year despite having taken an aspirin daily for decades.

Klein is one of my favorite wonks. I love the Dunning Kruger reference. I've been saying it for more than a year...not knowing there was a study done on it.

I'm so sorry. We can all understand that though, eh? :~(

What does "if I win" mean to you? Where does trump say he'll accept the results no matter what they are?

We all know you're a sniveling liar whose main talent in life is twisting words.

does the fact that he didn't say he would not accept the results if he did not win actually mean you're a sniveling liar who twists words without a talent for it?......
