why doug jones won

Pure bigotry. That attitude is the reason Democrats lost the support of the working class. People who are looked down upon by others are going to react against that phony sense of superiority. Next thing you know Donald Trump is president.

If conquest is the issue that makes all Americans "fake."

People who are looked down upon by others should ask themselves why this is the case, and work to better themselves. That is part of the essence of the American Dream. Conquest is what makes the people of the south "Americans" by nationality instead of "Confederates." Obviously, they still have a great deal to learn about American ideals and values.

What about black families during the time of slavery .. or does only your family count?

Talk about 'sheeple.'

.. wow

Half my family is black, so you bet your fanny we count in matters you couldn't begin to comprehend.
No one I know would have voted for Moore, but not because of false propaganda, but because of his extremist platform. We are too proud to be used as victims, nor will we be used as pawns in a political game.
So get off my back and stew in your black misery. We have moved on.

Kevin Spacey was my point. Did you see all the liberals defending him when the news first appeared--"The View," MSNBC, etc...

I think you're confusing the early stages of forming views with the defending of things when they're clearer. They have not continued to defend him - he's been written out of his tv series and new movie. You seem to be stretching the facts.

Or, maybe those looking down on them are just hypocritical bigots with superiority complexes. Those being looked down on don't think they need to better themselves because they have no respect for those looking down on them---why should they change for snobs whose view of them is based on bigoted stereotypes? Those who sit around and smirk at the views, culture, and life choices of others should make better use of their time and quit being so judgmental. You wanting them to change is why working class Americans left the Democratic Party; they don't need people who want them to "better themselves" by becoming like those who look down on them. They don't want to be "better" if it means smirking at others.

Not a clue.

Oh, you got that same disease that's afflicting Trump's former staff and associates.... even his kid, apparently. CRS -- Can't Remember Shit. The only cure is a prison cell apparently. lol

Do you recall this one from this morning? "Like I said, a few well timed lies and accusations, and blacks come running in droves. It is the liberal platform. No solutions, just smearing the others side. Trump used it well too. "

Oops, honey, your white partisan shee... er, slip is showing.

Refusing to better oneself is un-American. People should change for their own sake, because people should constantly be forming themselves in their faith, the pursuit of truth, the seeking of enlightenment, and (if possible) the finer things in life. Refusing to do so because you feel those with more than you are snobs is moronic. It is the failings of the human condition defined.

You are aware slave families were torn apart and often sold to different owners right? Is that something you would like to see come back? If you really celebrate the family is that what you are hoping for?

You are aware that 75% of black babies born today are bastards right? Is that something you like to see happening? Are you saying that choice by blacks is keeping families together? If you celebrate family is that what you want to continue?

Democrats grew complacent under Obama, because he had a rather large base. Now they're back to knocking on doors, and doing the legwork. It's necessary, because redistricting now made it mandatory for democrat voters to come out in what would normally be a landslide.

choose to be clueless if you wish, but don't post evidence on a public forum.

Alabama vote was nothing more than liberal tactic of sexual misconduct innuendo, spun by liberal media, that barely worked. The write-ins were the tipping point.
AND

I wouldn't be so sure Mr Jones will be voting your way on a lot of issues, unless he is ok with a three year run and done

Ahhhh, Grasshopper. Clueless indeed. Alabama vote had to do with Moore using the trump strategy of denying all claims about his perversions, even though he's on record admitting to the acts.

It worked once, but Democrats won't allow it to happen again.

As for the Jones votes, time will tell.

How black women saved Alabama -- and democracy

It is not like Roy Moore was ever a big vote winner in Alabama. In 2006 he got 33.3% in the Republican gubernatorial primary, in 2010 19.3% in the Republican gubernatorial primary, in 2012 50.4% in the Republican primary for Supreme Court and won the general election 51.8%. He won 38.9% in the Republican Senate primary in 2017.
