Baby Boomers

what's driving the future? technology

where is ground zero for technology and innovation? Silicon Valley

what's the wealthiest metro area of the country? Bay Area

but people would be idiots to want to be a part of it?

1k a square foot building costs?......hell yes......there are good paying jobs on Ground Fifteen where the cost of living is 90% less.......

Not everyone has to come here. But if your goal is to make it big and change the world you generally go to one of the big cities and if tech is your thing you come to the Valley. This is where the money and talent is.

lol dude, time to get over yourself......there is talent and jobs everywhere......and apparently the money in your Valley isn't enough if young folks can't even buy a house.....

Go back to the initial point I made. Boomers growing up could go to any city where the jobs were and be able to live and even purchase. That's not the case today.

The Bay Area is not the only one can go in this country to be successful. But 20% of the country's billionaires live here. The Silicon Valley is ground zero for technology and venture capital. You don't have to like it but those are the facts.

so I agree....its not the case if you are stupid enough to want to live in California.....but there are hundreds of thousands of places where you can find a great job and can afford to live and even afford to purchase a house.......who cares if they aren't your favorite city......(by the way, repeating this Ground Zero shit over and over just makes you look arrogant......you get a hundred miles out of town and nobody actually gives a shit about Silicon Valley)......

If one wants to be in the entertainment industry and someone says LA is ground zero for it you think that's arrogant? or finance and New York City? D.C. and politics? San Fernando Valley and porn?

And it's not about liking a City or not. It's about the opportunity.

If they aren't my favorite city, then why the fuck would I ever want to live there?

But that is what you and almost every other conservative spent a lifetime supporting: the abolition of free higher ed, destruction of pensions, and supporting the Bush and Reagan tax cuts which resulted in ginormous deficits.

I would think you might have wanted to title your thread, in the legendary words of George Dumbya Bush: "Mission Accomplished".
Those two were from the “greatest generation”, they weren’t boomers.

No one wants to live in the Silicon Valley but prices are $1K+. Ok.

Only a fool would pay that much to live around a bunch of faggot, sexually confused transgenders, bisexuals that can't make up their mind and a bunch of criminals that are in the county breaking the law. You indicate the reason is because of what goes on there. I say you choose to live there because of this:

What happened in the Kate Steinle case yesterday is a prime example of what happens when illegals are enabled to stay. I can only hope those that support them staying are the next recipient of what they do. If those folks want illegals to be here, they shouldn't have a problem being the ones to which things like this happen.

How ironic that a baby boomer came up with the World Wide Web so that the bitch could put out that little gem of ignorance.
And it wasn't any 'boomers' that accounted for the devastation to the environment, crushing debt, and offshoring of jobs. It's a particular political party that tends to spend on unnecessary wars, removes all consumer/enviro protections, and demands tax credits to move businesses abroad.

That's like saying 'Millenials have no respect for the flag, or country'.

Those are some damn good strawmen

No? Of course a boomer doesn't want to take responsibility for anything.
You want me to sound like a Republican don’t you Wacko? You’re sounding like a lazy, egocentric, self entitled millennial.

Poor millennials. Fuck those punks. I’m tired of their cry babying “Waaa my vagina hurts.”. They don’t like the way the world is? Fine...why don’t they get off their lazy gaming, smart phone addicted, net surfing asses and do something about it.

The pathetic thing about the childish crybaby post is that it conveniently forgets the vast accomplishments of Boomers or the shit sandwich we inherited.

Shit sandwich you inherited? You came into the world post WWII. What did your generation have that was so bad?
