Praising the media

Praising the "media" is not the same as praising news reporting. Assembling non relevant facts into a bogus political narrative and then presenting it as news is an art that could be praised, regardless of which side of the aisle it supports. It is just media, not news though.

Trump lies as a way of being. He lies to cover himself, but also for a variety of other reasons. I think sometimes he just lies for fun. He lies like he breathes.

Can't really speak to Bernie. I like the energy he brought to voters & a lot of his message, but didn't fact check him like Hillary & Trump, because he was never the nominee for POTUS.

Yet they rely on the fakest news of all for their opinions, and think that journalists are overpaid whiny desk jockeys. You know, the same overpaid whiny desk jockeys they get their "facts" from every day. When is the last time you saw a Breitbart, Stormfront, Glenn Beck, Limbaugh, Gateway Pundit, etc. "journalist" gathering info in some foreign country, in some war-ravaged area, in some famine-struck nation, in a hurricane-devastated region?

Breitbart did some great journalism when he was alive. He brought down ACORN. The website that bears his name is a new aggregator.

I'll leave Stormfront, Gateway Pundit with you, as I am unfamiliar with both.

Beck and Limbaugh are commentators; they don't pretend to be journalists.

From what I can tell, it must be inconceivable to your average Trump voter that someone could comport themselves as a professional, be conscientious, and be diligent and forthright. These might even be alien concepts to your garden-variety Trumpette!

There’s a clip on Twitter from 1964 that has Bob Dylan railing about Newsweek and Time magazine being ‘Fake News’, though obviously the term wasn’t coined then.

Nothing has really changed. Except now the left defends the establishment media. They were against it before they were for it.
