I think it's a Midwest thing. You often find it at summer fairs and festivals. They sometimes will pop the corn in a huge kettle (hence the name), then sprinkle sugar over it. It smells amazing!

The whole point of American freedom is people are going to do things, and live certain ways that piss people off. As long as it's legal, it really is tough shit. It's always funny that the ones that boast the most about this country, complain the most about the way people do things, with the same luxuries, and freedoms they claim to stand for.

It's a dutch thing, so Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, etc. I happen to be part Dutch myself.
