More women accuse Franken

It's sexual harassment, and that makes it bad. While the attention has been primarily focused on assault, thanks to Weinstein's multiple rapes, it's still unbecoming of a senator. Frankly, I think that legislators are so easily replaceable compared with every other occupation, that we should demand near perfect character and performance from them, and stop pretending like their jobs are difficult or their statuses elite. Let's start treating them like students treat their janitors.

You hear a lot about senators of days past that were statesmen etc. I wonder if that's possible in our hyper partisan social media driven world of today?

Is "inappropriate" really the word that came to your mind?

Words that come to my mind: assault, harassment, disgusting. I am pretty sure it is literally a firing offense at any job I have ever had.

Hey at least I'm not being accused of being a partisan now for posting it.

As often happens when one charge is made there are others that will follow. Seems to be the case here.

Yes, you do hear that but now I wonder how many of those statesmen were also gropers and harassers and that people didn't have a way to know about it.

Never in a million years would I have though Bush41 groped women.

If I find out Papa Frankie groped women my life will be over!

Interesting that former Bush chief strategist turned "independent" Matthew Dowd tweet out basically the same position BAC and Rana have taken on here:

Every leader (and each of us) is human and flawed and makes mistakes, but there is a difference between those who are flawed who work for the common good and those who are flawed who could care less about the common good. Huge difference.

He's saying if you're a Democrat this behavior is far more acceptable.

I read in a recent biography about him he and Barbara were both virgins when they married. DEFINITELY a different time period

Any and all infractions by elected officials should be mandatory hanging offenses. Only through death may we find justice.

who are these "leaders" he refers to? Tweets (in general) are so truncated I have no idea of the reference

Any leader be it in the U.S. or across the world. On that part he's correct. No one is perfect.

The remainder is code for it's ok when democrats do it.

it will be hilarious if at the end of all these random allegations moore gets elected and franken resigns and a republican wins his seat lol.

listen and believe would have backfired spectacularly on the dems.

inappropriate sure but is grabbing ass really that bad?

Ive seen women smile . It can be a form of flirting and nothing more.
I've had mine grabbed by a woman I didn't know before, just last winter in fact when wearing one of those tight cross country ski pants right after a race.
Agreed it's inappropriate normally but not as bad as grabbing boob or crotch.
And what about gays grabbing each other's asses?

Definitely at a job but in a social situation it depends on the circumstances. E.g., flirtation.
