You know, it wasn't that many years ago when a black dude would get strung up from a tree just for looking at a white woman.
What has been impressed on me since the pussy grabber audio tape came out, and onward through today, is that white males apparently felt they could get away with this shit. If you haven't been able to read the board or follow the story then no problem. But not surprisingly partisanship and political power trumps all for many.
The political reality is democrats wouldn't lose anything by him stepping down because they would retain the seat. But if we're talking white male privilege and trying to end it then he should step down. On a relative scale his actions weren't that bad but they still fall under the umbrella of harassment and if the desire is to end privilege he should be gone.
