Roy Moore's attorney holds news briefing

I have seen you on this board claiming that Michelle Obama is a transvestite, that "she" is actually a man.

But "suddenly" now, you want to take things slow and let evidence and actual facts be collected?

Surely, you jest.
Seriously! I wonder how I missed that, that’s disappointing.

That could be true.

"Moore has been a controversial figure in American politics for some time but mostly at the edges. His fight to preserve a monument to the Ten Commandments in a state building 15 years ago gained him national attention — but not necessarily national importance. Now, he’s seeking election to the Senate, one of 100 people who make up one half of the legislative branch of government. It’s a much more important fight nationally, and, as a result, has attracted much more attention.

There’s a reason that people with skeletons in their closets are loath to seek elected office: Once they do, the scrutiny that is a natural part of the campaign process threatens to expose those skeletons. This is less true for lower-level elected positions, where there is less media attention and fewer resources. For something like the Senate or the presidency, though, that scrutiny is both intense — and should be expected."

It can get pretty down & dirty with gubernatorial elections in some states...Louisiana and Florida come to mind, LOL

It was thinking that he was above the law that disgusted me, this latest revelation just intensifies it.

Some of his greatest hits:

Moore...has twice lost his seat on the Alabama supreme court for defying the federal judiciary, has a decades-long history of extremism.

Roy Moore suggested earlier this year that the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks might have happened because the US had distanced itself from God.Moore, a hardline conservative running against fellow Republican and incumbent Sen. Luther Strange in a runoff primary race, made the comments in February during a speech at the Open Door Baptist Church..

Moore has made no secret of the fact that he believes that, in his words, “homosexual conduct should be illegal... there may be no clearer example of Moore’s extreme anti-gay animus than the 2002 case in which he voted to grant custody of three children to their abusive father over their mother, who was in a same-sex relationship, because homosexuality is a “criminal lifestyle” and “an inherent evil”:

Moore has taken umbrage at efforts to accommodate people of non-Christian faiths, saying that Rep. Keith Ellison, a Muslim, shouldn’t be seated in the U.S. House after being sworn in on a Quran and, at his Foundation for Moral Law, representing protesters who disrupted a Hindu prayer in the U.S. Senate, saying, “It’s a shame that not one U.S. Senator stood up to defend a tradition that goes back to the very first Continental Congress of acknowledging the one true God of the Holy Scriptures.”

In a radio interview in 2012, Moore lamented that “false religions” were taking hold in the United States: “Christians are being persecuted while people of a religion foreign to our country are doing what they want.”

Moore, like Trump, repeatedly questioned Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president. In 2014, he filed a dissenting opinion siding with birther activists who wanted to require Alabama’s secretary of state to investigate the birth certificates of presidential candidates. Moore has also cast doubt on Obama’s Christianity, saying in 2012 that while he didn’t “know” the president’s faith, Obama did favor the Muslim faith.”

On top of warning that God will judge America for legal abortion, Moore has embraced the support of extremist anti-choice activists, including one who has said that it is “justifiable” to murder abortion providers. In 2015, Moore accepted an award from Operation Save America, a group that wants the government to treat women who have abortions like murderers.

In 2015, Moore told extremist radio host Kevin Swanson—who frequently states that the biblical punishment for homosexuality is death—that “I don’t think Christians can actually justify sending their children to schools” that teach evolution.

Moore has a much closer relationship with white nationalism: Much of his career has been funded by Michael Peroutka, a former board member of the neo-Confederate League of the South, who as recently as 2012 was leading a meeting of the group in the “national anthem” of “Dixie.

Again, the first four women didn’t come forward, they were sought out, once more than one come forward other women feel there is believability in numbers.

I don’t know why reporters didn’t go after him during his other run for office, but this time, they did.

I wonder who told them about Leah Corfman.

Yeah, that's my "opinion". I had 8 years to observe and form that opinion. Everybody here has opinions. This case is barely what? A week or so old? I'm still working on it.

So, to wrap up.....

You think first lady of the United States Michele Obama is Transvestite, a secret so closely-guarded that only intrepid rightwing bloggers were able to crack it.

But, when a Republican bible thumper is faced with credible sexual harassment claims from multiple women, your first instinct is to wait, to deliberate, and to insist we slowly accumulate facts and evidence.

Is it possible you don't actually realize you are a soulless, barely educated hyper-partisan?

Yeah, you have a problem with a differing opinion? I had 8 YEARS of looking at her/him and noting some discrepancies and formed an opinion. You disagree. Big whoop. You're entitled.

In this post from Teflon Don's thread...

I questioned something about Nelson...

I've got questions too about Nelson.
1) In the video of her making her statement with Allred, it was like deja vu of all other statements of women with Allred. Creeky emotional breaking voice, a sniffle here and there, but never any actual tears rolling down her face to go with the sniffle.

2) She said, "He reached over and locked the (passenger) door and I couldn't get out."
So, first of all, child proof door locks weren't available until the early 1980's.
Second, It must NOT have been a child-proof door lock since she clearly says that he had to reach over to manually lock the door. She also says she was "fighting" him off until he gave up and reached back over to lift up the lock. She was 16 and surely must have been familiar with car door locks at that age...probably had a drivers license by that time as well. It's obvious this "1970's-ish" truck did not have power locks. In all this supposed fracas all she had to do was unlock the door and bolt.

From this article:
Darrel Nelson, the stepson of Judge Roy Moore accuser Beverly Young Nelson says the allegations are all lies. Nelson says he is baffled by the timing of the sexual advancement claims and voices his staunch support for the Alabama GOP Senate candidate.

“I’ve known the woman, she married my father many, many years ago. I’ve known her for a while now, and I truly do not believe that she’s being honest about this,” added Nelson.

“You, Mr. Moore, your wife, I apologize for whatever reasons she is doing this i am truly sorry… I stand behind you 100%!”

Any rational thoughts or opinions anybody?
