I am still not convinced that she was 14 or indeed that the incident happened at all. If it did occur, then as long as there was no penetrative sex and everybody was fine about it then so what? This happened forty years ago in the South, and as I said before girls can get married at 13 down there. Our age of consent is 16 and there are some campaigning to lower it to 15.
