Roy Moore: I may have dated teenagers

It’s groping when one is 14 and the other 32.

Is that a legal term? By the way, it is legal to get married at 13 in Alabama.

Just over 8,600 of those child marriages took place in Alabama. The youngest was 13 and the biggest age divide between spouses was 60 years. A 14 year old girl married a 74 year old man, according to the Frontline data.

Alabama ranks as the 4th highest in the country for total child marriages since 2000. Over that time, Texas has allowed more than 40,000 child marriages, highest in the country.

When viewing child marriages as a percentage of all marriages, Alabama drops to 10th. Idaho saw 84 child marriages per 10,000 marriages, the highest rate in the nation since 2000.

However, since the law in Alabama changed in 2003, through a bill sponsored by Rep. Laura Hall, D-Huntsville, child marriage has dropped considerably. In 2000, 1,198 children married in Alabama. That dropped to 190 in 2014, the last year that data was readily available.

40 years ago, it was legal to marry at 16 in a state like Alabama. At some point, it was quite common throughout the world.

But all those FACTS aside, where are the FACTS in this salacious attempt by the media to steal a Senate seat for the Democratic Party of the jackass? There are NONE.

This is further evidence that real journalism has no place in today's media. They have become no better than tabloid gossip rags like the Inquirer. Hell, even the enquirer gets more right than the Washinton Compost.
If you had a buck for every attempted false character assassination attempt by the left you'd be a rich man today....lol

All 50 states currently allow children under the age of 18 to marry. Some require parental consent, while half have no age limit. Between 2000 and 2015, over 200,000*children have been married across the country, according to data from 38 states and two counties collated by advocacy groups and later published by PBS's Frontline.

Just over 8,600 of those child marriages took place in Alabama. The youngest was 13 and the biggest age divide between spouses was 60 years. A 14 year old girl married a 74 year old man, according to the Frontline data.

Yeah, because the right is so innocent and never, ever has done a false character assassination.

Nobody has proven that Moore groped anybody.

Ironic, since Trump backed his opponent in the primary, Brad. Didn't you know that, or did you hope that I didn't?

I'm defending the concept of assumption of innocence, Brad, something you do selectively.

How come you dodged the question I asked earlier, Brad?

Is your issue that an adult - defined as a person over the age of 18 - is wrong to allegedly have any contact of a romantic or possibly sexual nature with someone under that statutory age?

No, my only issue with the matter is that I believe there is something mentally wrong with a man who is seeking out teenagers to date when he is in his 30s.

‘What the hell is going on?’: Ex-evangelical goes on epic attack of GOP defending ‘child molesting and Nazis’

Appearing on MSNBC’s AM Joy, former evangelical – and son a a famous pastor — angrily tore into the Republican party for backing “rape, child molesting and neo-Nazis,” in a furious broadside

Speaking with host Joy Reid, former Christian evangelical Frank Schaeffer was clearly enraged at the continued candidacy of Judge Roy Moore who has been accused of sexually assaulting four women when they were in their teens and he was in his thirties.

Given a chance to unload on Moore, Schaeffer instead said he is just the latest manifestation of a Republican Party that has lost its way.

“Back in the day when my dad and my were going around the country establishing the religious right based on our anti-abortion stand, one I’ve moved a long way from since,” Schaeffer explained. “The whole idea was bringing America basket to some moral stand.”

Think about the Republican Party now,” he continued as his voice rose. “Throw some words out that are associated with them: mass shootings, Milo, Trump, Moore, Bannon, rape, child molesting, neo-Nazis, white supremacy. What the hell is going on with the Republican Party?”

“I’m not shocked by Donald Trump, he’s an ass. I’m not shocked by Roy Moore. he’s a loud mouth, a gun-toting fool,” he exclaimed. “What I’m shocked by is the complicity. We are in a political climate that’s built on one lie after another. I just want to say for the record, by the way, I believe a woman who stands up, which is very difficult to do and comes forward with a story like that. She was a Trump voter. She’s a Republican.”

“I believe her,” he added. “I just want to say that as a father and grandfather and someone that respects women that I believe her.”

Here's a thing! Probably a foreign concept to you though, there is a presumption of innocence in the eyes of the law. The legal phrase is ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat*, maybe you have heard of it?

Man, you guys really have no self-awareness.

What has been the response of you, NOVA and just about every other rightie?

When I mentioned Clinton it was in relation to hypocrisy....

Did you have something else about me in mind....? WTF do you even mean by "self-awareness" anyway ?

"Everyone thought it was weird"

‘Everyone thought it was weird’: Deputy DA who served with Moore confirms ‘he dated high school girls’

According to a series of tweets from CNN senior national correspondent Alexander Marquardt, a Florida attorney who served as a deputy district attorney alongside Roy Moore has come forward to allege inappropriate behavior from the Republican senate nominee.

It was common knowledge that Roy dated high school girls, everyone we knew thought it was weird,” former Deputy DA Theresa Jones reportedly told CNN. “We wondered why someone his age would hang out at high school football games and the mall.”

Moore needs to go..
I was giving the benefit of a doubt, but now his creepiness and his demonstrable predilection for minors makes him unfit for Office.
Further I am now much more tending to believe the accusers based on this background
